September 2009 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
Uhm, who picks these avatars?
First of all, when and why did all the avatars change?
Second of all, how ironic is it that the avatar they "randomly" chose for me has a tan girl and white guy?
ETA: Just to clarify, I'm not offended, angry or anything by this... I just found it pretty funny that this is my new avatar. I know I can change it.

Stand up for something you believe in.
why did they change them in the first place?
IMO they should just nix the avatars all together. They're pointless anyway.
They changed earlier this week. I just changed it and uploaded a pic from my computer.
I got your same avatar, but Anwar isn't white. haha.

It happened on the bump too. I post a lot on the TTC after a loss board, and needless to say it's not well accepted that everyone's avatars changed to be pregnant women.
I rebelled and changed mine back, which messed up my siggy, but I don't care. The fact that the bump had me masquerading as a pregnant lady made me cry.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Ugh. Sorry, that is really disheartening. I think that is something totally worth passing on to the Nest ladies.

i agree with Smo. did anyone pass that complaint along to the Nest Gods? if not, or even if others did, i think you should make them aware of it.
Yes, they know. Unfortunately it isn't catching much attention.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Which ticks me off even more. It's just another giant punch in the ovaries for a pretty large (and heartbroken) group of people.
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
Yeah. Between the mc/pl people, the IF and TTTC people and the people who are BOTB but not KU, I think at least 1/3 to 1/2 of the audience is offended.
Stand up for something you believe in.
That makes my heart break for you, Meghan. I'm sorry.
