We're getting a NICE tax refund this year!!! It will be used to pay off our only credit card and the rest will go towards a new used car!
If anyone is looking to have someone do their taxes I definitely recommend Capital Tax in Hutto. Jason is great! He's done our taxes a couple of times and always gets us more than expected. I didn't go back to him last year because I thought our taxes were straight forward. He looked them over and said he could have gotten us at least another 1K. We'll be amending our taxes after tax season is over.
My DH is out of town for work and I'm having a girls night with one of my best friends tonight. I'm really looking forward to the time with her. I'm cleaning/prepping for cooking already!
(not that I don't miss my DH... but a little away time works for us...)
Other good news is that I have had to work the last 4 Saturdays and this upcoming Saturday is my last one for at least 2 months. :-)

So, my good news for the day is I went and got some yummy pizza for lunch! I've been trying to eat healthier along with going to the gym, but I just had to break down and eat something bad

My car started this morning!
It was parked outside overnight, rather than in a garage, and I was worrying that it wouldn't start. I was so excited when it did that I actually gave a little fist pump of victory.
(I know: lame! But, this week has been a little lacking in the good news arena.)
Rarely Updated Blog
My last day of work is Tuesday. Yay for no more retail hours and getting my weekends back. I will miss most of my coworkers though.
My SIL and BIL are coming this weekend and we're going to brunch at Max's Wine Dive on Saturday.
My Mom is coming for her monthly visit next weekend, which is my first weekend of not working so I can actually spend time with her.
- I figured out that I didn't have enough deductions in place on my W-2 :P
- I started a new role at work, and it is MUCH BETTER than my last one! I like work again!
- I met a fundraising goal to get into the Cherry Blossom 10 mile run! I am SOO super excited about this, because it means I get to run an awesome race around Washington DC with a bunch of beautiful trees blooming. I've been wanting to do that race for years.
