bc and mia periods!

how long did it take you to get "normal" after stopping your bc?? the first month after i stopped i completly missed my period, it came about 30 days late! and now the second its mia again, im about 2 or 3 weeks late. is this normal?!?

Re: bc and mia periods!

  • Last year when I stopped Same thing happened to me. Takes about 3 months to get it all out of your system. I felt very pregnant as well, I cannot tell you how many pregnancy tests I took. I took a blood test as well, by the third month I was normal well my normal. There were still days that I was late 2 or 3 days. However, I was irregular before I began BCP.  GL!

  • I have had anywhere from taking 3 months to get normal...all the way to being on-the-date normal from the time I stopped. I have stopped pills several times since being a teenager. I think it depends on factors such as your age, cycle, and type of pill. (As your cycles vary with age...but if you were on BC for years, you wouldn't know because pills force you a "false" period about the same time each month)
