Went to my ultrasound today. Baby is measuring at 39weeks, 2 days and 7.5lbs as of today.

I really hope these measurements were on the bigger side. If I go another 3 weeks he may be huge!

But I am glad that he is doing well:)

Gaining half a pound a week, which is normal for the final month, he'll be Nate's size at 40 weeks! I hope their estimate is high.

ETA: that's Nate's size at birth, not his size now, silly.

Also, it's good to have an idea ahead of time. Not that you'd want to make baby stop growing if you could, but at least you know. It wasn't until I was in labor that a doctor made an estimate on Nate's size. He felt my belly and asked me how big I thought the baby was. I said that my nephew was just born at 8lbs 12 oz, and I thought mine was bigger than that. The Dr just said, "Oh yeah, he's definitely bigger!"

If it's any consolation, Parker was estimated about a 1/2 lb bigger than he actually was, so maybe they are on the low side?

I've heard that it's pretty common for them to be off by 1 lb either way, so hopefully this is the case for you! There's a girl on my month board who had a baby under 7 lbs and they said he would be around 9 lbs, so they are not always accurate.

My ultrasounds were way off on measurements. I was told at 36 weeks that W was already 7.5 lbs. His birth weight was only 7 lbs 5 oz at 40 weeks. Hopefully the same is true for you.

This is what my Dr keeps telling me. She keeps saying she believe his birth weight will be 7.5lbs, in a few weeks.
