I told you all my "Aunt" sadness, right?
About how I was so sad that I never will get to be an aunt?
Well, I approached it with my cousin this morning about Pat and I being an Aunt and Uncle to their kids (first one due 7/11). He's always been more like a little brother to me so I was hoping he'd go along with it. I was nervous though because I have a friend who is adamant that nobody except 'real' aunts and uncles get that title.
Well, he's super excited and honored that we want to be 'aunt' and 'uncle' and so glad that we want to be a big part of their kids lives. I was crying all morning about it and about how much it means to me.
That's all, just wanted to share my sentimental, sappy story.

Being an aunt is awesome too!! I get to spoil my little niece :-)
Jaime that's so great. I think anyone can be an aunt or an uncle. I have a family friend that we call our Aunt, she was my gram's BFF and she's been nothing but an aunt to me.
I'm Auntie Jenn to my BFF's baby Rowen and I spoil the crap out of him.
