Drug-store under eye concealer?

Anyone have a good rec for drug-store type under-eye concealer? I've been wearing contacts this week, and somehow I think my glasses hid the dark undereyes that are the only part of my greek heritage that I got (why couldn't I get the olive skin?!?).. but it's glaringly obvious without the glasses. Idk if I'll stick with the contacts just yet, though, so not looking to invest in something pricey...

Re: Drug-store under eye concealer?

  • This isn't at all what you're asking for, but I'm throwing it out there anyway.  My skin is sh!t and I've tried tons of different concealers since 13yo LB discovered her first blemish.

Drugstore brand concealers range from $7 to $11ish for the better ones.  Anything cheaper than that sucks just from my experience.  I know because I've bought hundreds it seems of $4 concealers and they just don't do anything.  The more expensive drugstore brands, I feel like I have to use a ton to cover anything at all and they end up lasting just a few months.

I use this and it's $16, but I just have to use a tiny bit and it lasts me about 9 or 10 months with everyday and sometimes multiple times a day use.  It ends up being cheaper in the long run and I like it more while I use it.

Sorry to be contrary and not answer the damn question.  I suck.

  • No, sorry...but I have a MAC one that I don't use if you want it.  I realize sharing/giving eye makeup is usually a no-no, but I seriously only dabbed it and nowhere near my eye orifices.

  • I use this Neutogena concealer stick and I have for awhile. I like it fine.  I usually put a couple dabs of powder on top of it to hold it in place.   http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=87249&cmbProdBrandFilter=4196&aid=333840&aparam=s8Ng36A_tyg-_bDKBfn_LV.xaR9QfB2Zgw
  • I have terrible dark circles, and I'm a MAC fan too except I actually use one of their foundations as a concealer (the studio sculpt foundation).  It's a gel-based formula which is great for my type of skin.  You should go to one of the MAC stores and try some of them out.  They're usually really generous with samples too (when I first tried it, they gave me enough to last several weeks).

  • Agree about MAC concealer. I have like 5 tubes of Smashbox concealer that I'm working my way through, then I'll be switching back to MAC.

  • THanks everyone-but-dolfinn for NOT answering my question! lol. I will head myself to a MAC store (is it actually a store in and of itself, or do they sell it @ sephora etc? ...Shows how much I know) if/when I decide to stick with the contacts.

And Madisen, I may take you up on your offer if I'm still on the hunt the next time I see you. Thanks!

  • Both the Avenues and the Town Center I believe have MAC stores.  The Dillard's at Town Center also has a MAC makeup counter within it.

Last time I stopped by Sephora at Town Center they still weren't carrying MAC.

LOL! I've just come to realize that most of the time, just spend a few extra dollars at Sephora or MAC. Except for foundation - I'm all about my Revlon Colorstay!

  • I use Sephoras Buildable Cover Concealer. It is not specifically for under your eyes but it works and is only $8.

I use this one. I've had no luck with drug store brands.
