Where to buy fish?

Where can I buy a whole fish?  Preferably it's fresh but de-scaled and de-gutted because I don't want to deal with that.

Re: Where to buy fish?

  • This is probably not helpful in the least unless you luck out on google - but a friend of mine has been raving about a fish place in Anderson Twp on Beechmont Ave. It's the kind of place where you could call them and let them know what you want ahead of time. I don't know the name of it.

Isn't there also a place right next to The Wine Merchant on Edwards?

  • You might also want to try Jungle Jim's.  They have some really fresh fish and they will have it all cleaned up, etc. for you.

There is a place in Hyde Park on Edwards that sells fish but I don't have any personal experience w/ them.

Based on recos from TB side it sounds like this is probably Keegan's.

Thanks! LOL - I keep asking my friend for the name of it and she keeps flaking. I've been wanting to stop by there, but Beechmont is a pretty long street to go a-searching on.
