Happy Friday all!
Yesterday went pretty well. The chaplain that did the memorial service was a bit terrible, lots of random things and rambling, but whatever. We spent the whole day hanging out with my brother and his gf and my cousins and their fiance/fiancee's, which was good.
This weekend should be pretty fun. It's my stepbrother's 19th birthday tomorrow (remember that the drinking age is 19 here) so we're probably going to take him out for a few drinks. Sunday we're going to head into Toronto to hang out with Tim and Shannon and the kiddos for a bit, then probably cook our annual Valentine's dinner, as I really don't feel like going to that much effort for a Monday night dinner!
What's everyone up to this weekend?
Re: TGIF
I have today off. I haven't been to sleep yet, I got up at 10:30 AM yesterday, and its now 5:20 AM today. I have done 2 loads of dishes, hung a shower curtain and put together a vacuum in the last 3 hours. Hoping that maybe I can tackle most of this apartment today as I have to work the rest of the weekend. It would be nice if this place started looking like an apartment and not a disaster area.
Plus I'm starting to panic with only 67 days left that the apartment won't be ready for us to bring baby home to. We have so many boxes in the living room and hallway that its hard to maneuver sometimes. I just want to get organized and ready in case something happens and he comes early.
Glad to hear things went ok Raynes.
I am super excited that it is finally Friday. I feel like all I have done is work, work, work.
This weekend, MIL is coming over with DH's nephews in the afternoon. She is making a big dinner at our house. Sunday we are going to BIL's to celebrate one of the nephews birthday. Otherwise, I will have baby duty as DH continues to study for his NCLEX next week.
I've been having a really weird sour stomach thing going on, so I really can't wait to just sleep through this weekend and hopefully catch up. It always seems to be worse at night when I'm trying to fall asleep and in the morning when I really don't want to wake up yet. The dogs are also getting used to having a new fur friend next door, so they wake up and bark and sing every time the neighbors go out. This summer might suck with all the fur flying. We're hoping they learn to love each other and play through the fence, not trying to jump over it.
I'm pretty sure I'll be curled up on the couch tonight watching as much Say Yes to the Dress as I can fit in before DH goes BSC. Yes..I still watch.
I'm praying that I have enough snacks to get me through today. I'm already feeling the hunger pains, or maybe another stomach vomit attack. I can't wait for this to be over.
Yay for Friday, though I have to say this week didn't crawl like last week.
Last night was a good time--we met up with friends, had dinner (D.C. ladies: Founding Farmers is awesome, try it if you haven't!), caught up and had a great night. I also discovered the Flying Dog Pale Ale is awesome.
Tonight's a gym night, then the rest of the weekend should be pretty quiet and calm for us.
Just a few hours left before the weekend! Yay! Nothing going on tonight, just looking forward to ordering in and watching tv - combination of Grey's, American Idol and/or a movie. I might try to squeeze a quick workout in first, depending on what time I can get away from work.
Tomorrow I have my second driving lesson - I'm dreading the two hours of the instructor criticizing my driving. I thought I was a decent driver, but put me on the other side of the road and I'm a mess apparently. Then we're going to look at some apartments for our potential move.
No plans for Sunday yet other than pilates.
Happy Friday all!
ETA: Can't believe I forgot ... we're going out to dinner to celebrate Valentine's day a day early, which also corresponds to our dating anniversary which is why we generally go out then instead. Six years together on Sunday!
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
snoopy, I definitely still watch Say Yes to the Dress too. Love it.
Kyle will still be in Miami all weekend, so I have the house to myself. I have some major cleaning planned. I hope if I get it looking nice enough then maybe it will stay that way for a little while once Kyle gets home. I'm also planning on doing a lot of cooking. I have several friends who recently had babies so I'm making up a huge pot of beef stew to take food to everyone. I'm also hoping to make up some other meals that I can freeze to have a fully stocked freezer when Kyle gets back.
Sunday I'm having a girl's day with one of my friends. We're planning on going to a matinee and catching up on Top Chef (which usually involves drinking plenty of wine as well). All in all it should be a good weekend, I mean really what's better than a clean house, good friends, movie theater popcorn and wine?!
It's a boss free day today, so I plan on reorganizing some files and doing some filing, and Nesting.
We don't have anything planned for Saturday, but Sunday we are doing a movie themed scavenger hunt in D.C. This should be great fun and the weather is going to be nice.

Pretty busy weekend planned. Tonight H and I are meeting some friends for dinner. We are trying a new BYOB Thai Restaurant. I've never had Thai food before...can't wait to try it!
Tomorrow we are heading to the house to shovel the driveway. Hopefully at least some of the snow has melted. We are also going to Home Depot to buy paint and supplies.
Sunday is devoted to packing. We need to organize our stuffed to the gills storage closet, and pack up the entire kitchen. Still can't believe we are closing in 5 days!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
So looking forward to this work day being over. I'm exhausted. Hopefully today will go by quickly!
Tomorrow I am meeting up with a friend I haven't seen for years, so I am totally looking forward to that. Saturday night I am watching a friends baby so she and her hubby can go out for a Valentines dinner, I am hoping that being around a baby will make MH decide that having children sooner would be okay!
Sunday is always busier that I like but, hey that is life. I am really looking forward to the new bible study we are going to on Sunday, I am hoping that we are able to meet a few new couples that we can connect with.
Ciara, sounds like you're in full-on nesting mode!
Tonight, H is scouting a game out of state which is fine b/c I need to work late anyway. Hopefully after work, I'll hit the gym if it's still open by the time I leave the office. Then I need to make some major progress on the book I'm reading for book club.
Nothing much planned for Saturday, hopefully just gym, cleaning, groceries, and more reading.
Sunday H and I are going to the Celtics-Heat game which ought to be a great match-up! Then I have book club. The book we're reading this month is set in Peru so I'm bringing these dulce de leche cookies from a Peruivian restaurant down the street from our apartment, and a friend and I are also making Pisco Sours for cocktails - should be fun, and delicious.
We're celebrating V-Day on Monday - very low-key, just a nice dinner at "our" restaurant, hopefully followed by some good chocolate!
Yay for Friday! I'm working today but hoping for a low key day. After work I need to go over to my parents house to help my mom with some paperwork. I may or may not be having dinner with a friend tonight. I'm still waiting for her to confirm which annoys me to no end but I hope she can let me know before the afternoon.
Tomorrow I have to take Bailey to the vet. She's been scooting on the floor so it's time to get her glands drained. Sorry if that's TMI or gross. In the afternoon we're going to a friends BBQ.
Sunday, no plans yet. Probably try baby furniture shopping again and hopefully we'll find stuff we actually like.
Have a good weekend ladies!
Ewww. The butt scoot. Unfortunately, or fortunately I guess, our dogs don't do this and just walk around the house farting that nasty tin can fish smell. It's so gross.
This weekend is going to suck. This was the day that the triplets and I had an agreement for. They were suppose to come this weekend, well valentines day. We talked about it to them every day.
I took off Monday if I make it out of bed I'll be impressed. This milestone and their birthday I think will be the worst.
((hug)) and
I so wanted to comment on your blog post, but can't from work, so I'll say it hear. You can't play the what-if game. It can do absolutely no good, and will only make you upset. It happened the way it happened, and while it is the most terribly outcome possible, worrying over the 1,857,399,572 different ways it could have gone will only set you back. Are you still seeing your counselor?
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
((hugs MO))....
Today we'll prob watch some netflix (end of season 2 of True Blood), have dinner and wine. Tomorrow we are going to my fav winery... do a tasting, maybe grab lunch.... The Sunday we are going to do some projects for the house (basement) and I'm going to work on some crafts/decor for the St.Pats Party. I got the invites out this morning... I hope people can come.

I am so glad it's Friday and the day is actually going by pretty fast for me so far. I'm meeting a friend for lunch today, then after work DH and I are heading out to our friend's parents' vacation house a couple hours away for our friend's b-day. We'll be spending the whole weekend there with a group of friends and lots of booze so it should be a good time! We're going to try to get home at a decent time on Sunday and might do an early Valentine's dinner or something since DH works late on Monday.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Oh, I remember that like it was yesterday. It does end, mine was about 13 or 14 weeks when I finally started being able to get through the day without vomitting. Only a few more weeks for you hopefully!
