Beck

Another option for de-stressing could be hypnosis.  I would really vouch for it, it has made a difference for me overall.  So much that when I went to visit my sister in Savannah in December, she said that I was overall so much more relaxed.

I often feel like I just had a massage after my session (the hypnotist calls it a mental massage).

The one bad thing is that it's not covered by insurance.  Is acupuncture covered?

Re: Beck

  • Acupuncture is not covered by my insurance.  I feel safe with the guy I go too.  I am scared to try a different person closer to where I live.

I am nervous to try hypnotist.

  • I was really scared about being hypnotized, too.  I can't remember if I shared the story of my first session- it was hilarious actually.   Just because I didn't know what to expect, and I thought that he was going to hypnotize me and then ask questions and I didn't think I could be hypnotized.

And I found out that it's not true that you forget what happens.  I am aware the whole time what he's saying but it's kind of like when you fall asleep- you lose sense of time.  It feels like 10 minutes have passed but it's actually been more like 40 or 45, but I can tell you that I know everything that was said.  He never asks questions either...

I have fallen asleep during sessions before- that's the only time I don't remember what he said.  He says it doesn't matter because he's working on my subconscious and I don't need to be awake for that.

Not that I'm pushing you to do it but it would be another option.  I could never stomach acupuncture but kudos to you and Bethie for that!
