Call or wait?

I had a phone interview last week, which went great. He invited me for an in-person interview and said he'd have his scheduling lady contact me "sometime next week" for an interview "the week of Feb. 14."

It's now Friday and I haven't heard from her.

Should I contact the recruiter and check in or just hang tight?  I should probably hang tight but I'm on pins and needles.

Re: Call or wait?

  • I'd call. It's been over a week since he said this.

  • I'd call late in the business day today or wait until Monday morning.
  • Schedulers/admin prioritize their work.  Call on Monday morning if you haven't already to get on his quick radar before he meets with her to get the week priorities set. Be prepared for a quick turn-my guess is she'll call you last minute to come in the following day.

  • A little late to this, but definitely call.  Seems where I work, people who call (say on a weekly basis) have been the ones they're more likely to consider.  Persistence does seem to pay off.
