Details from our ENT visit

They started by doing a hearing test, which Jake did not do well on, at all. Which I didn't expect he would, even though he passed the hearing test he took at 18 months. They said it's no wonder he's not talking, and whatever he is hearing is likely a jumbled mess because he has fluid in his ears. So he is having surgery to get the tubes put in on February 21, and after they place the tubes they are going to do another hearing test on him while he is still under so they can get a true idea of what his hearing really is. We're hoping that he will get better results then and he doesn't have any true hearing loss. After that we are going to have to take him in for a hearing test every 3 months for the next year to check on his hearing.
