Re: Happy Friday!!

  • Today: just got back from my weekly appt. That false labor I had on Monday did nothing for me - still at 1 cm. Ugh!! I'm going to go run some errands and treat myself to a pedi.

Sat/Sun: not sure. Need to clean the house and run some errands. Hopefully, have a baby, but I'm really doubtful!! I'll probably just be trying to preoccupy myself all weekend, so I don't think about it.

Pretty boring over here - I hope you guys have something more exciting going on :)

  • Ugh about the false labor not progressing anything!

Today: Trying to stay motivated at work, although becoming difficult today. After work, picking up my 5 yr old nephew, he's sleeping over tonight. Pizza and either Despicable Me or Toy Story.

Tomorrow: My sister is picking up nephew in the AM, I am going to try to get to the gym after that. Then my mother is picking me up and we're going to lunch at this place I like so I can get this: PRESSED DUCK CONFIT AND GRUYERE SANDWICHE WITH TARRAGON DIJON MUSTARD AND POMMES FRITES

Seriously. I am craving it like no other. Then she and I are getting facials!

Tomorrow early evening, H and I are visiting SILs sister to meet her newborn and give a little present. Not sure what the whole deal w/ tomorrow night is.

Sunday- Don't think we have plans which is AOK with me. I really need to do some organizing. I'll go to the gym, probably, also.

  • ....And I may be irrationally upset tomorrow.

I don't think they serve that sandwich I want on Saturdays at lunch. I may ask VERY nicely for it.

  • oh no! what a bummer, kristen! maybe margot will still make her appearance this weekend. :)

jackie, i hope you get your sandwich.

i don't think we have any official plans this weekend, which is nice. plenty of stuff to do at the house/errands to run. and maybe dinner out on saturday night since we never really had my birthday dinner.

How fun! And that sandwich sounds AMAZING!! I hope they can make it for you!! I would definitely be playing the pregnant card if need be for that one.

  • Keep your head up Kristen, I was only dilated to a one when I was checked, but progressed quickly during labor, so don't focus too much on that (I know much easier said than done!)

Tonight - my sis and family is bringing us pizza.  Hopefully relax with H, it's been along week for him.

Tomorrow - my mom is coming over again, will help me clean in prep for MIL's arrival on Tuesday.  Then H and I are going to run some errands and hopefully have our coffee date :)

Sunday - ?? maybe venture to church for the first time?

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!

  • Jackie - I hope you get your sandwich. It sounds yummy.

Heather - hope you and H get some rest this weekend!

Kristen - I've been thinking about you and baby. Hope we get to meet Margot soon!

My weekend will be a little eventful. Spending tomorrow in Dallas [again, because my dad wants to go], b-pics shoot on Sunday [nervous as hell about it], and my dad leaves Monday for another six months, so I'm taking the day off. JJ needs his teeth checked on Monday, too - I think he chipped a tooth or two.

You'll do great! Are they for your anniversary?

Poor JJ - hope his teeth are okay!

I hope so, too - I'm so nervous about that. Good thing they're still baby teeth!

Yup - the b-pics are for our anniversary. This is gonna be an adventure! :P

  • Jackie - hopefully they will have compassion on the pregnant lady and make your sandwich!

Kristen - Every day is one day closer to Margot's birthday, so I believe every day is progress!

I just bought groceries. I was hungry while shopping, so we have a LOT of food. I think we won't have to go shopping for the next 3 weeks, except for milk, bread, and eggs...

Ordered pizza for lunch. Rodgers and Nate are out picking it up right now. Nate is in a screaming phase, and he's giving me a headache. So I'm thankful for a quiet house all to myself for the next 20 minutes.

I didn't cook or clean the kitchen last weekend, like I intended to (or was that two weekends ago?). But, I will this weekend. Chicken Mexican casserole and pork/veggie stir fry are on the menu. Weather's supposed to be lovely. Maybe I can get Rodgers to grill some chicken, too. Or burgers. Or both. (I only had a small snack after groceries, so I'm still hungry...)

Fun Ebonie!  When will you get to see Joe next?

I'm going in March. I get there on his birthday and leave the day before mine, so we'll celebrate both birthdays and our anniversary. He's not allowed to leave the area until he finishes this series of tests, but after that, they're talking about giving them two weeks' leave during the summer. I am SO crossing my fingers that happens. :)

  • This morning I had  Dr's appt.  I tested positive as a carrier for Strep B.  Didn't put my day off to a good start.  And the fact that I'm allergic to penicillin doesn't make anything easier since my Dr is waiting to hear back on what I can get when I am in labor.  I was hoping not to be hooked up to anything, but that looks to not be happening now.

Tomorrow:  No plans-just cleaning and organizing the house.  DH will be working pretty much the whole day.  Maybe a costco run.

    Sunday:  Just church.

It's going to be a pretty quiet weekend.

I tested positive, too - so I had to stay an extra day in the hospital to make sure JJ was OK. I'm sorry! :( I hope they find a solution!

I was wondering if anyone else here tested positive.  I'm really bent out of shape about it right now--I think I've read about 100 articles about it today.

  • We have a 2 year old's birthday party tonight for Greg's family.

Tomorrow we may go to an outdoor festival / Polar Bear Plunge - It's mainly a huge drinking event, but we go every year, so it'd be fun even if I can't drink.

Sunday we're having dinner at one of my all time favorite restaurants. Greg is extremely conservative with his money and laughs at me for the way I spend my money. And even he doesn't mind spending $100+ on dinner and drinks at this restaurant. Had the best meal of his life there.   http://www.tomatoesmargate.com/menu.html My parents are coming too.

I was kinda shaken by it, too - I had NO idea what that meant until after the results came back and my OB explained it to me. All I remember is that right before JJ was born, I tested positive, so I got antibiotics when I was checked in for my induction and all through labor/delivery. Once JJ was born and the IV was out, that was it. No additional meds for either of us. They kept us for 48 hours instead of the standard 24 to make sure he was OK. He never once showed signs of being sick.

I know everything will be fine for you and baby! Maybe they can find an alternative to giving you IV antibiotics...?

  • I'm working today, hoping to be off at around 3:30 or 4.  Then I will go home and go for a run.  No idea what our plans are for tonight.

Tomorrow I work from about noon until probably about midnight.

Sunday I'm off, and we have no real plans.  I need to go to Sephora to pick up some stuff, and I want to make a pulled pork, but we'll see.  I will also run on Sunday morning.

    Wow, my life is boring.

  • Hi Guys!

H is in Arizona on business, so my dad and stepmomster came over for the weekend. They are picking up a few groceries and I requested chocolate. I think that's my big plan this Friday night Stick out tongue

Tomorrow- Shopping and a friend's bridal shower

Tomorrow night- Valentine's dinner with the rents. I still need to check on reservations...

Sunday- H comes home and I am making a big fancy dinner and red velvet cupcakes!

There are apparently two other things they can give me.  My Dr was running it by the lab so keeping my fingers crossed I don't have a bad reaction to that.

  • We're not doing anything - we're so boring! I managed our budget poorly for DH having a new job and forgot he wouldn't be getting weekly paychecks. So we're broke until payday on Tuesday. Which means lots of cleaning, laundry and movies this weekend!
