in the lobby of our freshman dorm the second night of school. we sat in there and talked all night... until like 3am, he walked me back to my room and got caught by an RA for being on a girl's hall after visiting hours were over (1am) and got written up. it was kind of funny.
we went to lenoir rhyne college in hickory, nc.
H and I met in 2003 my freshman year outside of the UNF library. I was way involved in student government and campaigning for my "party" (the red party TYVM) and handing out flyers and a mutual friend who was also in SG introduced us. I don't know how this came up, but he told me he hadn't gone to the bathroom in days because he didn't want to buy more toilet paper. Lovely. I was 18 and he was 20. We hung out pretty consistently after that. I drove him home from his 21st birthday at TGIFridays about a month later. Then a week after that was Halloween and I got sloshed at a frat party at Ocean Club and he "rescued" me and drove me home. I was dressed as Monica Lewinsky and he was a pimp. NICE.
Yeah, we were a hot mess together for awhile.
My friend in college had me go with her to a birthday party for this guy she knew..it was in the apartment complex where I lived, so I thought, why not. I got introduced to my now H and we stayed up talking most of the night. He ended up sleeping over at my place. We have been together ever since!
At UF. It was the fall of 2002, second day of classes. While walking to class, I noticed that there was another guy who left from my apartment building and was like 20 steps in front of me the whole way. I was determined to make friends in my classes that semester, so I sat next to him and struck up a conversation.
He totally blew me off.
So, I turned around and started chatting with the guy randomly sitting on the other side of me. He turned out to be my DH! We became really good friends, even roommates for a summer, but didn't date for several more years because I was with someone else at the time.

It was Fall 2004 and I was working in the Connection Center (cell phone dept) and Jason had just transferred to the Electronics Dept. He was planning a trip to Boston to celebrate his college graduation and he stopped to talk about Cingular's coverage. I thought he was cute and started chatting with him. We went on our first date October 29 and have been together since.
I was bartending at Applebee's during my SR year at FSU. He was in Tallahassee for the probation officer academy. Him & his classmates came in & that's how we met. Actually, the guy that technically introduced us went on to tell me that he looked like his HS girlfriend..... Who was found dead in a dumpster
BUTTTTTTT.... I had met DH a week or so before, also while bartending at Applebee's. Him & one of his classmates were sitting at the bar, & the classmate started flirting with me. I blew him off. I didn't even notice DH cause he had longer hair & I am not a fan. It came to light later when I was telling the classmate that he looked SO FAMILIAR & I knew him from somewhere. He denied knowing me, but DH eventually told me the story.

Ditto! A car forum of all places. We were friends with benefits for a few months before he decided he wouldn't go to jail due to my age. It took months of discussion. Like dating would have made the difference in jail versus no jail time. Smart.guy.not

He had just left the college I was applying to, and he came across this uber-lame website I made as part of my supplemental application material that listed the schools to which I was applying. He left me a comment letting me know that he had gone there and that I could ask him if I had any questions about it. We talked pretty much every day from then until we finally met when he came to campus almost a year later, spring of my Freshman year. Then long distance all though college. ::knife to temple::
My co-worker and I sat next to each other for about 4 years with low cublicle walls. He heard all about the end of my 6yr relationship, my single phase, my bad relationships phase and my 'I'm never going to get married' phase. He said he had the perfect guy for me...his best friend from high school. Problem was this friend of his and I were both in relationships at the time so we never met. Eight months later, the best friend got a job at our company and started working with us. We broke up with our SO's and started dating two months later.

This! He saw pics I had posted with the university in the background, and struck up a conversation with "Excuse me, but was that pic taken in Presidential Courtyard?" given that he was in Seattle, it was enough to pique my interest, and we started chatting about UT, Vols football, and Knoxville in general. I wasn't looking for anything at the time (just ended a LTR not long before, with some serious baggage), but it turned that way quickly. We were married in a little over two months!
