He says no layoffs. So. That is the good news. I will keep my job...I'm just not sure where I will be. I work so closely with the other programs at SPO.
Ugh, it is total suckage to be displaced, despite the fact that you will still have a job. Hopefully it's something you are familiar and comfortable with! A reduction-in-force(RIF) is pretty imminent here...we had one last year, too. I hate knowing some of the first year teachers will be out of a job, and I also think it would stink to have to be put in an entirely different grade or subject area even if I did have the certification to teach it! Last year we had a case where a high school art teacher was suddenly teaching a day at the primary level. Yikes! 2 different worlds!

Well, gee, it sure is good the state spent all that money moving your office just in time to eliminate it.
This sucks; I'm sorry. I prefer to think like Kristen and say that you'll have a totally awesome new job/new adventure in January, but I agree with other pps that the limbo and unknown factor really blows.
This is exactly what I was thinking :-(
