Vday Plans!
This month is already special because we are all celebrating our 6 monthiversaries! And for some of us, Vday will be our 6 monthiversary!
What are the plans for your Vday this year? Unfortunately, it's a Monday, so are you celebrating the weekend before or after...or the day of?
One more question...if you could do anything, what would it be?

DH and I have signed up to take a massage for partners course on Sat the 12th! My friend is the instructor and we are both looking foward to learning about how to do a proper massage for stress relief.
Vday plans have been left to DH, so I am not sure what he will have planned for the day of.
I have planned a surprise get-away for us on the 19th to celebrate our 6 month, which is actually on Vday as well. I have booked the suite at our reception site again for us to enjoy (and feel like rock stars again!). We will either order dinner to the room, or eat in the hotel's restaurant (5 star) and otherwise, just enjoy the room and each other!
Seriously though, totally pumped for our massage course!
We are on a bit of a budget at the moment, so each took $5 to a discount store to buy each other a present. I'll cook something nice at home. We did go out to dinner for our six month celebration.
And DH's birthday is 4 days before V day, and we are going out for dinner for that as well.
If we could do Anything, I would like to go away for the weekend, somewhere maybe 4 or 5 hours drive away, see some countryside and stay somewhere 5*. Quiet and romantic.
Not sure yet, because we leave 2 days after for our trip to see my family. I don't really want to spend a lot of money. I might make dinner and set up some candles. I know DH wants an itunes gift card so I'll have to get one of those.
My ideal would be to go away for a few days to a romantic place (ie not home to see family). Maybe a Caribbean location. Maybe next year!
Fantasy- Go on a trip to either Vegas, the Bahamas, or even back to Italy for a week to unwind and be pampered. Or stay at a local B&B in Wine Country down here and un"wine"d
Reality- It's a Monday, the first day back to work for me after everything that's gone on. We have a couples spa package that hopefully we can use this weekend (massage, hand and foot treatments). Monday we're going to our favorite restaurant in town that has a special prix-fixe menu for V-day and celebrate the holiday and our 6-monthiversary.
I just planned a big weekend for DH's bday which was last weekend. So, he decided that VDay weekend was up to him. I have no idea what we are doing. A friend of ours has a bday party on Saturday night, so I have no clue.
Fantasy would be going back to Europe or Hawaii.
DH husband told me yesterday he made dinner reservations for the 13th and to get dressed up. I have no idea where we are going!
He originally made plans for the 14th but my mother will be leaving for overseas that day ( I think the airfare was cheaper) and I'll be taking care of my grandmother again for a few weeks. My mom doesn't really want to go, but has to still iron out things from her identity theft situation from last year. I did have an interview for a job possibly starting in March, which would be great, but also stressful trying to manage care for my grandmother while my mom is away. Luckily, DH is so understanding of the situation, because I'll be bouncing back and forth between our place and my mom's, who is a few minutes away, while working on trying to make a baby-lol.
If we could do anything, I'd like to go to the Florida Keys or somewhere warm just for the weekend. Especially, since I'll be busy with grandma during DH's February break.
We've never done big Vday celebrations. I'll treat myself to some flowers for our dinning room table
. DH is goint to make dinner, probably steak of some kind with sides. And I'll make us something yummy for dessert. Then we'll watch movies and hang out together. I think the time spent with eachother is more important then buying eachother presents.
One thing that we might splurge on is a spa day. On our honeymoon we got massages and it was so nice! We have been wanting to go back so bad!
As for a dream Vday a trip somewhere warm would be to die for! A trip to Hawaii staying in a private cottage right on the beach, ahhh that would be AMAZING!
