Valentines Day Plans

I can't believe Monday is Valentines Day and I have no idea what to get DH!! As of right now we are going to see a movie (maybe Gnomeo and Juliet) and than out to dinner at this new restaurant near us that we got a restaurants.com coupons to.. Trying to save money for Ireland so no extravagant Vday for us..

What is everybody getting for their husbands?? What are you all doing??

Nothing. With my birthday the week before Valentine's Day, and Drew's birthday the week after Valentine's Day, we never make a big deal out of it. I bought him a card, but I highly doubt that he'll have even that for me.

Ugh, we were suppose to do a couples massage and dinner tomorrow, but the stupid place over booked. So Chris is surprising me with something tomorrow in Philly ,he won't tell me anything except that it's going to take a few hours and we have to go to one place first to pick something up and then go somewhere else.

I posted this below in the "weekend plans" post, but whatever

. I'm precepting Monday from 7-7 so we won't be doing anything that day. Instead, we're celebrating Sunday. Rusty and I are going out tolunch at the sushi restaurant that we went to on our first date. That's all he knows about. Afterwards, I'm going to tell him that I have to stop by my mom's house (which is all the way across town) but really I've made an appointment to have a couple's massage, chocolate body scrub, and champagne pedi. I can't wait! He's been talking about wanting to do a couple's day at the spa...he has no idea that I have this planned. I can't wait to see his face when we pull up to the spa! I also went and got some new lingerie today and will be making chocolate covered strawberries for that night...I'm sure you can guess the rest Wink

i don't believe it in so we aren't doing anything. i told james he can celebrate it with zoey if he wants but it's important to me that it's not treated as a 'holiday.' i'm very anti-valentine's day.

We're not big gift people for VD. We went out to dinner last weekend after the sleigh ride. I wasn't specifically for VD, but we called it our Valentines day dinner. Dh is going to be gone on valentines day, so nothing that night. I am baking cupcakes for him. That's been a tradition for a few years now. Instead of buying candy or something I bake a yummy treat.

I'm really curious what you guys will do tomorrow Jess.

We are going to go out to dinner on a different weekend. Finding a sitter right now was too tough.And hopefully my parents will keep Xander for that night so we can have a nice night.

I'm more excited about celebrating it with Xander and my niece. I'm making them chocolate cover pretzels (only a few) and they each will receive two new books, abc and number magnets. Avery got a cute new spring jacket, and a princess tent and tunnel toys. Xander got two new shirts and a tunnel that we are keeping at the ILs.

Xander's daycare playmates and him will get cake pops on Monday

We are not big into giving gifts but I made Ben a card. I joked around asking him what he got me, and he acted coy. I totally did not think he got me anything. It is probably nothing big. We will probably go see a movie and out to an early dinner on Sunday.
