Valentine's Day: WDYT?
Do you and your SO do anything for Vday? What are your plans this year?
I typically do not like Valentine's day. I would much rather a show of affection on a random day of the year (or throughout the year!) than just on one day.
This year, I'm babysitting for a few hours that night. BF and I are going to dinner Saturday night because I have a Bargain Bee coupon that is about to expire. So, Happy Valentine's Day to us?

our first year dating, we went out to eat on Valentine's Day. Every year since then, we just cook something yummy on Valentine's Day and if we want to go out to eat, we go a few days before or after. And we don't buy big expensive gifts. We get each other a card and MAYBE some chocolate. It's not a production at our house.
I mean, if he WANTED to buy me some big honkin' huge diamond earrings, I wouldn't say NO. But I don't expect it.
When we were dating we'd go to dinner and get each other little gifts. It was nice and I always enjoyed it. After we got married we started cooking a nice dinner at home and nixed the gifts. This year I have class on Mon night and I think we're having leftover fajitas.
I'm not sad about us not celebrating this year. He knows I love him, I know he loves me & we just bought a new computer so moneywise, it'd be dumb for us to go buy gifts. I did get N a card and one of those damn Sophie things. She loves it; I couldn't wait to give it to her, I was too excited.
We celebrated last weekend to avoid the crowds. We did a little shopping and went to Stroube's for dinner.
I understand the opinions of "it's a greeting card holiday" or "I'd rather get flowers on a random Thursday then Vday", but that's just not me. I heart holidays.
