they did an all female weekend update, so maybe they'll do an all male one?
I was thinking it would probably be Fred Armisen. I was leaning Keenan Thompson at first, but I like his characters too much for him to "anchor" it.
Maybe Seth Myers will do it alone. It was done alone for many years, and the co-anchor thing was relatively rare.
I don't think is a surprise to anyone; she'd mentioned before that she wouldn't be returning after the baby was born. And, she has a new show of here own in development. Mid-season, I think?
I agree with BB; I think Seth Meyer should just handle it solo.
It should go to one of the suckier cast members. Seth Myers adds nothing to that show, so his talents aren't really wasted in the anchor chair. Save the good ones for the characters. Personally, I think AP was the last really funny one on there, but Armisen and Wiig are decent, I don't see either of them getting update. Especially if Obama wins. They'll need Armisen to do him on Update from time to time.
I'd probably say Andy Sandberg. His digital shorts are hilarious, but that's all he can do. He's a little crazy, so he would probably be good at the anchor chair.
Good move for Amy Poehler. She's so funny and should spread the hilarity around.

I don't want it to go to Kristen Wiig. ?She's so hilarious. ?I love her as Judy Grimes, Penelope, the Target Lady, Sue etc. ?DH does Target Lady all the time. I think he secretly has a crush on Kristen Wiig.?
