My mom w/ follow up
My mom is in the hospital for the 3rd time in the last year and a half. The doctors think that it is pancreatitis, but it is very scary that it keeps happening. She has now been there for 4 days and she doesn't seem to be making a lot of progress. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated. I live across the country from my parents and although I'd love to be there, it just isn't possible right now. It's a very helpless feeling. TIA!

Thank you ladies! I actually got to speak to the doctor today. My wonderful cousin went in and gave the doctor my number so I could get a direct update. The good news and bad news is that the pancreatitis is caused by the meds that my mom has been on for a nerve disorder. He did say that this should be preventable in the future, but she will have to decrease her meds a lot. She has an MRI and a meeting with a GI specialist after that. Hopefully that will help with more answers. My dad has been very stressed and not exactly giving me the best info. Hearing things from the doctors mouth always seems to make things so much more concrete.
Kim- My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. It is so tough to see a family member go through such pain. Take care of yourself as well. I know it is not easy.
