Good morning all!
I got an attack of over active sinuses yesterday, so I spent the better part of the day blowing my nose and wanting to die. Needless to say we did not make our annual Valentine's dinner last night, but decided that it's perfectly reasonable to make a lasagna from scratch on a weeknight.
We spent a few hours hanging out with Tim and Shannon and kids at Shannon's parent's place yesterday afternoon and it was great! Ryley was as active as ever and enjoyed dressing himself in plastic lei's and his sister's hat. Katie was feeling sick, so she spent the whole time cuddling with either Mom or Grandma, but Hayley and I had a blast playing. Tim and Shannon decided that Derek and I have to get pregnant this July so that we can fill Tim's baby craving, but that I can still drink with Shannon at key social events over the next year. It's nice to know they've got a plan for us. Ha!
The uber amazing eeeeeeeva threw together a smashing kitchen plan for us this past weekend as well, which means I'll be furiously planning away while Derek gets down to the last bit of rough construction we need to do. I wonder how quickly we can get a kitchen built while still working full time?
Annnnnd, lastly, we bought a sofa and 2 chairs on the weekend! We shopped around a LOT and were really just looking for chairs, but a sale and a comfy couch won us over.
This guy, and his matching chair (about 1/2 the size, same look) and an accent chair in the same fabric as those pillows will be coming to live with us by the beginning on March.
How was everyone's weekend?
Re: Happy Valentine's Day!
Raynes, love the couch and hope you are feeling better today.
The weekend went by way to quick. We had a great dinner with MIL, SIL & BIL Saturday night, and I did so well with my eating. I really kept it under control.
The boys were pretty fussy most of the weekend, reason why is they both cut their first tooth. So they were both pretty much attached to DH and I all weekend.
Today is work, work, work. So I Hope that you all have a fabulous Valentine's Day!
Hi ladies,
I'm glad I was able to get up today, it just sucks a lot.
This weekend, we went for a nice dinner and drinks at the hotel where we were married. Other than that it was just grocery shopping, PJs and movies. I'm hoping after making it through these few hard days things will start looking up.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
I spent most of Saturday cooking and cleaning and doing stuff around the house. Nothing too exciting. Yesterday I visited one of my former classmates and his baby. She was adorable. Then I visited a friend and we got caught up on Top Chef again.
Last night I caught a bit of the Grammy's and worked on my house a little bit more. All in all it was a pretty low key weekend, but that was much needed and very nice.
Good Morning Ladies!
I am here, sick but here, Morning Sickness is kicking my butt. It's worth it though!
We had a good weekend. Friday was DH's birthday so we had a great weekend of celebrating and yesterday was a rest day for me. The weekend was very tiring!
I hope everyone has a nice day!
Happy Valentine's day!
I'm not doing much for Valentine's day today. I think we will celebrate at the end of the week while we are on vacation.
This weekend was busy but fun. On Friday we went to a special Symphony Orchestra presentation of Paul McCartney/ Beatles songs it was beautiful.
Saturday I worked and finalized some stuff for Raynes! I can't wait to see how your kitchen comes out.I also finalized and printed the last of some wedding invitations and envelopes for a friend.
Sunday was gorgeous here (65 degrees and sunny) So I went driving. Ever since I got a convertible I seek out sunny days. So Dh went out for frozen yogurt and drove around listening to fun music and not really doing much.
Love the couch raynes!
Good weekend here. Driving lesson went well on Saturday, much to my surprise. Then we checked out some apartments in the afternoon (no luck there though) before coming home for a quiet evening in.
Yesterday was grocery shopping, pilates, and then out for dinner at a fabulous Italian restaurant. Through the diet out the window and thoroughly indulged!
Looking forward to cooking a nice V-Day dinner tonight with DH.
Cecilia arrived 12 October 2012
Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
We had a pretty productive weekend. Dinner Friday night at the Thai place was unbelievable! I can't believe I waited this long to try Thai food.
Saturday we went to the house and spent 3 hours shoveling ice on top of snow on top of ice, which is on top of the driveway. We also stopped at Lowes and picked up all the paint supplies and some samples. We start painting on Wednesday night after closing.
Yesterday, despite being sore as hell from shoveling, I was able to pack up the entire kitchen.
DH and I will continue our annual V-Day tradition of bringing in sushi, and stopping at the spot we got engaged.
Hugs to you, MO.
Pretty quiet weekend overall. We did our usual cooking, cleaning, errands, gym, etc. I was able to start reading Franzen's Freedom and did a bit of experimenting with a butternut squash recipe. No Valentine's Day plans and it's an off day from the gym, so it'll be a quiet night. I do have a Skype chat scheduled with my little brother, so it'll be nice to catch up with him.
Happy Valentine's Day!
My weekend was good. Saturday I went shopping with my MIL and two of her sisters. I didn't buy anything but still had a good time. Saturday night we went to dinner at my parents house for my dad's birthday. Sunday I cleaned, did laundry, and did some online shopping for our master bath.
We're going to celebrate Valentine's Day either Friday or Saturday. We're sticking with our yearly tradition of stuffed shells and chocolate fondue, can't wait!
::Hugs for MO::
Love your couch plans Raynes. I'm dying for a new living room set, but we're just not ready to spend the money.
Hugs MO. Lots of them.
DH actually wanted to do something tonight for VDay, and I really just want to stay home and avoid the crowds. As soon as he said it, though, I was craving every restaurant that came through my head. I might give him a few ideas and let him pick. It's going to be a long night of waiting at the door of a restaurant. He also gave me the go ahead to get a new body pillow. Mine has seen better days, and my hips are really starting to hurt in the mornings.
Our weekend was rather uneventful. I got tons of sleep, which is about all I ever plan now. I've been having a sour stomach, which is really annoying, so I had to lay on my side to get it to go away. We went to visit BIL and their kids for a bit. Their kids make me rethink this whole baby idea. Then I realize I can make my kids not so crazy, and I calm back down. There is honestly so much yelling in that house that I just want to curl into a ball and rock back and forth like a crazy person.
Happy V Day everyone!
Great couch Raynes. Can't wait to see pics of it in the space once you get it delivered.
Hugs MO. We're here for you if you want to talk.
Our weekend was pretty relaxed. We finally finished cleaning, organizing, and shredding old bills and other paperwork. Saturday night we made a picnic dinner, complete with an awesome bottle of wine, and chocolate fondue. A good friend is also getting rid of their crib, and has offered to give it us, so even though we aren't TTC yet, we're excited to have it for when we do get KU.
Busy morning here...
Saturday we went wine tasting at my favorite winery for Valentines. They were doing a special tasting, 4 wines each with different cheese and truffle. It was awesome. We picked up two bottles and some local honey goat cheese - I swear its 1/2 the reason we go there!
Yesterday we cleaned, and I crafted. So happy its Valentines, now I can finally put up my St.Patricks decorations. I'm making fish tacos for dinner... love them.

This weekend was good. We basically ate, ate and ate some more. We did put our forks down long enough to make an IKEA trip for a few things. While DH napped yesterday, I fell in love with hemming tape, which allowed me to get my curtains down to a reasonable size.

Happy V-day ladies!
This weekend was pretty busy for me. I had tons of homework and house work to do. DH and I have decided to celebrate v-day until Sunday. We both have school very late today so we didn't feel like dealing with all the crowds tonight.

Happy Valentines day!
I'm at work until 4 this afternoon. DH and I don't go out on V-day so we're ordering pastrami pizza from our favorite pizza place and staying in to catch up on the dvr. We were really busy this weekend so I'm glad we can just relax at home. Hope you all enjoy your day.
MO: Big hugs for you.
Hugs to you, MO. I thought of you, Sean and the babies today.
This weekend was okay. Saturday I was off so I got my 8 mile run in, went to church and was just lazy. Sunday I worked all day. Pretty boring.
We're not big on Valentine's Day. Last year we didn't do cards or anything so I thought we would do the same today. Instead DH got me a sweet card, flowers and minieggs. Oops. We just got finished chocolate chip pancakes. Yum.
