Happy Monday morning/ V-Day ladies!
How was your weekend? Mine was super busy and I seriously went to bed at 9:20 last night. I have never felt so rested in my entire life.
If you celebrated your V-Day this weekend, how was it? Anyone doing their thing tonight? And if you get flowers at work today, I wanna see a pic!
Re: Happy Valentine's Day!
Happy Valentine's Day!!
We went out Saturday for dinner. We went to a little place in the Italian part of town (The Hill in St Louis is kinda like our version of Chinatown). H surprised me with reservations. The food was fabulous!!
Tonight I'm making stuffed shells for us for dinner and cheesecake (H's favorite) for dessert.
ETA: I almost forgot that yesterday was awesome too. The weather was nice, so we decided to get out of the house. We went to a microbrewery for lunch then walked around a historic town and visited some of the shops. Then I made us a yummy dinner last night.
Excellent weekend!
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY LADIES!!! It's our first married one!
This weekend was fun! We went to see our friend's new baby on Friday night, Saturday just hung out and did errands. Sunday we went out for Hibachi and watched a movie. Our dinner was not so romantic - we were seated at a Hibachi table with a couple and their 3 little kids, who were so annoying the whole time. Hey, I love kids, but they were a PITA. The little girl was like "mommy, why is he putting that on there" "why is he putting eggs in the rice" "when is he going to make the onion volcano" ARGGHHH!!!!! haha
Anyway, we had a fun time together. Today he leaves for a business trip, so I'm treating myself to a pedicure and I'm getting dinner with my cousin.
Have a good day girls!! XOXOX
We had a great weekend where DH surprised me with a few things everyday which was well needed..I hadn't seen him in 11 days.
He left today for a week so he left a love note, card and $100 to Macy's!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Friday was low key...DH bought me some flowers and this candy bouquet (the vase was filled with chocolate and the "flowers" were starburst...really cute).
Saturday, DH had to work, but we managed to go out to dinner that night.
Sunday...I wasn't feeling too good, so we spent the day on the couch watching movies.
DH is working late tonight, so we aren't doing anything. I might surprise him though with a cake. Our actual gift to each other is another puppy (our current puppy is getting bored and I don't have the energy right now to entertain him) that we will get to bring home in about 5 to 6 weeks.
Have a wonderful week, ladies!
We're going out tonight, I don't know where, DH is surprising me. I know that I have flowers coming also because my brainiac husband charged them to our joint card, and I check the balance on that every few days so I saw the charge to Proflowers. I just don't know if they're getting delivered to work or home. He got me one of those heart shaped donuts at Dunkin Donuts over the weekend also. It's funny to see him try to be romantic.
I have to be an AW and share the FB status he just put up:
(Dave) hates everything this Hallmark-created, Satan-inspired, blasphemy of a holiday stands for, but would still like to wish a Happy Valentine's Day to the love of my life, Lori C.
Can't wait to see what kind of comments he gets, his friends are total wisea$$es.
Happy Valentine's Day!
TTC #1 since 4/10, Dx: MFI IVF planned for April/May
Sarah, you should post a pic of this. It sounds really cute.
My weekend was pretty good. Friday night Jeff went and hung out with his uncle most of the night, so I just watched my Sex & The City DVDs and was asleep by like 9:30! It was amazing! : )
Saturday morning my mama and I went and worked out, then I went on an all day shopping trip (complete with jumbo margarita for lunch). It was awesome! I needed some retail therapy...it had been WAY too long!!! Then, that night Jeff and I went out for prime rib at a local steakhouse.
Sunday I went and worked out again with my ma (1.5 hr!!), then Jeff and I got lunch at my favorite Chinese place and went grocery shopping. It was an incredible 68 degrees here yesterday, so after we got home I took my dog on a walk. Last night Jeff and I cleaned the house, then he made us cheeseburgers on the grill.
So far...today sucks, though. Just bad day at work and this morning I found our 2.5 gal water jug was leaking in the fridge, so by the time I got it cleaned up, the water poured into pitchers, I was 10 minutes late for work, and of COURSE the big boss was driving by our office as I was pulling in...grreaatt.!
This weekend went by too fast! But we really enjoyed the nice weather. I had to work Saturday morning. My wedding rings were ready to pick up and I was so happy to have them back. They are so sparkly, I love it! Sunday we went to the in-laws house. DH helped his dad put their christmas decor back up into the attic.
Tonight I plan on having dinner ready when DH gets home from work. I'm making steaks, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, and rolls. I might make some heart shaped cookies too.
Our weekend was fun and pretty laid back which we definitely needed! Friday we stayed in and made dinner. Saturday went to a Greek festival and stuffed our faces, then we had an event Saturday night. Yesterday DH had to go into work and I laid at the pool
As for valentine's day, welllll I love my husband with all my heart but Valentine's just is not his thing. We try to have nice dinners either our or at home every week anyway, so it's hard to do a food-inspired valentine's. We've always agreed not to get expensive gifts, but I'm secretly hoping he at least shows up with flowers or a CARD. :P
Happy Valentine's Day girls! We had a great weekend - went out to see shows on Friday night (Kodo drumming) and Saturday night (Emma by Jane Austin), so we got two date nights in a row!
Last night DH surprised me with a fantastic homemade dinner (I was working all day, so it was a total surprise). And I surprised DH with chocolate from our favorite local chocolatier!
Hope you all are enjoying our first married V-day!

We had an awesome weekend. Went to a marriage conference with guest speaker Bishop Wellington Boone. It was a 5 sessions conference. Topics: 1. God's Eternal View of Marriage 2. Marriage is an Honor 3. Blowing your Wife's mind, 4. Blowing your Husband's Mind and 5. Creating the home Court Advantage. Later on Saturday Night we invited some family and friends over for couples game night. On Sunday Hubby took me to a Mexican Resturant. The food was delightful. Today he send me some red roses and took me out to lunch. I am floating on cloud 9. He has blowed my mind alway.
Awww...everyone has such romantically inspired H's!
My weekend was pretty busy. I was up late on Friday getting ready for the baby shower I hosted and sewing some last minute things. Saturday I was up early doing last minute details for the shower and prepping the food, then dealing with the shower. Saturday evening, we took a nap, had supper, took the dogs for a walk, and then we watched a movie (Unstoppable) and I did the taxes.
Sunday was pretty laid back. Church, contractor to come talk about our bathroom remodel, take the dogs for a walk, WORKOUT (yay) and watch some of the Grammys.
Phew!

We did the group V dinner this year, and went with my parents and my cousin and her DH. Dinner was good but they didn't bring my dad his food until 20 minutes after we got ours. My rant about that was on FB....
Tonight we're both working out and I have dinner in the crock pot so minimal cooking for me today! Mike got me this really sweet and romantic Valentine card and I felt bad because the one I got him was a funny one. I don't normally do humorous valentines for him, but this one I couldn't resist. He always calls himself the King of the Castle, and sure enough I found a valentine that said "to the king of our castle." I told him he'll understand why I picked it when he reads it.
Happy First "Married" Valentine's Day!!!
Well, girls, here it is: I actually spent most of the weekend alone - as H ended up investigating a case and worked over 30 hours straight (he left for work on Saturday afternoon and I didn't see him again until the wee hours of this morning)...alas, we didn't get to do anything this weekend.
Our plan was to go out for dinner tonight, but the poor man needs some sleep...sooooo, we're both taking off this Friday (which is going to be near 70 degrees and sunny here in Central MD - woot woot!), and spend the day together...I must say, I am very much looking forward to it :-))
But woo hoo to most of you guys - I enjoyed your romantic weekends and plans for tonight vicariously!
April 2010 Siggy Challenge: Next Vacation Destination
I had a very laid back weekend, but nothing really Valentine's inspired about it. DH has worked all weekend, after tonight he has 4 days off. He has also been sick since Thursday and had to call in sick on Friday night because he could barely get out of bed. I laid around, took care of H when he was home, cleaned up a little, did some laundry, and watched a lot of movies. This morning H brought me flowers, candy and a card, and then went to bed for the day. (the card was VERY sweet!!) We will probably go out to dinner sometime this week, I think in the 6 Valentine's Days we have spent together we have NEVER done anything on the actual day because we have always been busy...I guess this is our own personal tradition
Anyway, as for tonight it will be just me again. I'll probably get take out and come home and watch the Bachelor (yes, I live an exciting life). Oh and I forgot to mention I have the whole week off!! The school district I work for has to take a few more furlough days this year and they decided to put them all together and call it Presidents week, I don't care what they call it, I'm just glad to be off
Enjoy your Romantic Valentine's Day ladies!!!
