QOTD

Re: QOTD

  • I like what I do, but don't like all the politics that come with working corporate.

  • I LOVE my job. Teaching is hard work, but I love it.

  • I love my job.  It's definitely challenging, and can be long hours and stressful at times, but I wouldn't trade it for the world.  The people I work with are great, the clients are nice and normal, and the work is interesting.

  • I do like my job.  It's challenging at times, but I like that.  The people here make it better too.

I do, however, wish I was paid more!

  • Not really. It's gotten more tolerable lately because I've finally gotten what I've fought hard for--more writing and editing--but I think I've grown as much as possible here and would like to move on.
  • I like being a lawyer; I don't like my current job, however.  I'm not learning anything new and there is no opportunity for growth.  I need to find something new but the legal job market in Boston is still abysmal so I need to either look beyond Boston or just stick with what I've got.
  • So far, yes. But I've still only been here since mid-December and since I was told that there was a 1-2 year learning curve, I'm still learning new things that I'm supposed to be doing every day.
  • Most of the time.  My boss is a micro-manager, which is infuriating, and it's been very frustrating lately with issues that I can't seem to get resolved, but I like what I do and am usually quite happy with my job.

  • I do like my "job", but I'm technically still a student and don't know what I'll end up doing for the rest of my life.  I love working in a lab though and being creative :)
  • I love my job.  I like what I do, I feel it is important work for the company and the industry, and I love my coworkers (many of whom are friends outside work).  I'm well paid, and the benefits are good.  My only complaint is that we need another person in my group, because 60 hours a week is too many.

  • Not at the moment.  There's a lot of uncertainty about my role at the moment, in that my managers keep saying that they want to change and expand it, but I've been given little guidance on that so far.  So I'm a little frustrated.  I do like the people though, and the hours and pay are good, so hard to complain.  I just can't get that excited about financial services products.

  • I love it! Teaching is pretty tough, but it is so rewarding. Although I will say that I am planning to ask to be transferred to 4th grade for next year. I can't take 8th graders anymore.

  • I love my job! I work for a great company and have wonderful co-workers. My job duties vary from financial to marketing to HR, so everyday is different which is refreshing.

Also you can't beat a 36 hour work week! We only work until noon on Fridays but we're paid for a 40 hour week.

  • I don't like the job, but I love the college and the people I work with. Plus, I generally have a lot of fun. My job, however, is easy enough for monkeys to do, so I hate feeling a sense of urgency when I really have nothing that urgent at work. I wake up every day feeling like I have no purpose. I can't wait to actually take advantage of my degree and get a lawyer job. Western MA is a total job bust as well for lawyers. I have a prospect on Friday that I'm super anxious about.

  • Umm I work retail so no. I'm getting ready to finish school coming up in the fall (was supposed to already be back in but thanks to the admissions office that was a bust) and I'm keeping this job only because it's flexible while I'm going to be doing clinicals and such. DH and I hit a financial road bump that kept me from staying in school in the first place and without a degree in this city I'm pretty much stuck with retail or clerical work or God forbid restaurant work. That being said the only reason I don't like this job is the obvious lack of pay and because I feel like it's beneath me. I realize that might sound rude but what I mean is I know I'm capable of much more I just need a piece of paper from a college to be able to do anything that would actually feel fulfilling to me. I do enjoy the people I work with though and it's a pretty laid back atmosphere so we have fun.

  • I love my job. It can be very varied day to day. It also keeps my brain busy problem solving. I do wish the economy would pick up so I could make more money, but I like who I work with and for.

The biggest pet peeve I have about my job is most people don't understand what I do and think I just pick out pillows. :/

  • Stay tuned... I just started yesterday, but so far, so good. Now LOFT, on the other hand, was misery in job form. :) Thank goodness I'm out.

  • I love what I do, I just don't love where I'm working anymore. I think a few months after I come back from maternity leave, I'm going to start looking for a new job.

  • I love it a lot more now that I'm working at the hospital as opposed to retail pharmacy full time.  I pph pharmacy/drugs.  The only thing I don't like right now is the uncertaintly as to whether I will get to stay at any of the  3 hospitals I'm currently working at.
