do you tip the groomer?

i have to take lola to the groomer because she has a "situation" back there that needs attention. basically kitty is overweight and can't reach the nether regions.

should i tip?

Me:39 Dx LPD, Fibroid, AMA and all that goes with that. H:37 Dx low motility and low morphology. TTC since 3/12. Clomid 8/12 and 9/12: BFN. 11/12 on a break for Myomectomy sched. 11/26. Resume TTC early 2013.

Re: do you tip the groomer?

  • I tip, but normally we get the full out service (bath, hair trimmed, nails trimmed, etc.) so we do a 15% tip. How much is this...service? ;) If it's $20 I'd tip at least $3.

  • Is the groomer the owner? If so, no tip. If not, I'd give $5 on top of the $35.

  • We usually tipped when we took Bruno to the groomers.  Now I groom him myself and I don't do nearly a good enough job to warrant a tip.

    This sounds reasonable to me.

  • Yes, I'd tip. Our Bassett used to go to the groomer all the time, and we always tipped. Owner or not, I'd throw a few dollars their way.. especially for dealing with a cat! (even more so if kitty is "armed")
  • Thanks guys! I will. Groomer is not the owner. Kitty is good but still, it IS a cat! LOL

  • I've been thinking about taking Sun to a groomer for awhile. The cat sitter didn't brush her over the holidays and I'm still trying to get out the fur mats. What does $35 get you at a groomers?
