They were reading a "What to do" from a woman. I'll give you the quick version. She's been with her boyfriend 5 years, they live together and she does the majority of the household chores. He has never done Valentine's day for her. But bought flowers for a friend for Valentine's day this year, and one other year. She was pissed and over it.
They debated over it and all the men on the show were like, BIG MISTAKE! No man buys another woman flowers period, but especially if he didn't buy his own girlfriend. They gave him a pass if: she was dying or recovering from sickness or lost a loved one.
The woman on the show was for the man. She said, the girlfriend probably was one of those who says its not a big deal, lets not do anything. So he was probably trying to cheer up a friend who is alone on V-day.
Just curious your opinions ![]()
Re: On the radio this morning:
My opinion, MH would be DEAD if he bought another woman flowers, period. hahaha. If WE bought a woman flowers because of any of the formentioned things, that's different. I don't care if its his mother. If he does for another woman he can do for me
Wow ... if my bf of 5 years did nothing for me for Valentine's Day but bought flowers for a female friend (regardless of her circumstances), in addition to being a lazy butt around the house, I'd be livid. Wait, I'd be single!
Seriously though I have a friend in a relationship a lot like this except after 5 years the guy still doesn't even want to consider living together, and it just makes me sad!
I agree that I would be a pretty miffed if my BF/DH bought another woman flowers and didn't do anything for me. Again, unless it was agreed upon that we didn't acknowledge the holiday, the other person was a dear friend of ours, or going through a difficult time, there really is no excuse for not showing your actual significant other a little love through gesture.
Slightly related note, I had my mum sent flowers @ work, since she's single and she was super thrilled- DH didn't seem to have a problem with it (although I did not offer to send his milasaurus wrecks any, whoops!).

I agree, I would have HUGE issues with him!

ouch - that's harsh.
Nope - Tim's only allowed to buy ME, Abby, or my Mom flowers - and anyone else we buy flowers together for.
My thoughts exactly.
