Situation question on job application
The question asks for a situation where I worked within different levels of an organization to complete a time sensitive project.
The last time I worked for an organization was 7 years ago so the situations I'm coming up with are old. A more recent example would be working with a client to get documents by a deadline imposed by another organization. I feel like it addresses the same skill set but it isn't within one organization as asked in the question. WWYD?
This would be a great job for an organization I totally believe in. I think I'm overthinking and psyching myself out!

Re: Situation question on job application
the advice we give candidates is that it doesn't need to fit the scenario exactly. you need to think about what skill it is they are trying to see in you. that's more important than whether it was w/in one organization or not.
i think they are actually also looking at your ability to communicate and work with people both superior to you and "below" you. does your situation satisfy that?
it's about partnering, collaborating and prioritization.
I hadn't even thought about this so thanks for pointing it out. The old situation definitely addresses this point. The new situation....not so much. Actually, I can't think of a recent situation that does address this point. I've been working for myself or one other person for the last few years and then I was in school before that.
