Re: PG/Mom Check-In

  • I don't know how I've made it these last 3 weeks but tomorrow morning at approx. 10:30 am I will (hopefully) be finding out if my future will consist of any football, worms, bugs, dirt, mud, forts, boogers and go karts.  Everyone keeps telling me it's a boy and I've had numerous dreams that it is but if it's a girl I just might turn into my lunatic mother who had two girls, lol.   Heck I'm halfway there already.
  • Ahh I can't believe you are finding out so soon. I feel like it is still an eternity before we find out (in April.)

I'm currently battling teenage acne (which I'm hoping goes away now that I'm officially in 2nd Trimester) and awful migraines. I suffered from migraines prior to getting pregnant and now that I'm off all meds they are back in full force. I have a chiropractors appointment on Wednesday and then have an eye appointment and dermatologist appointment next week. Between all of this I hope I can get everything in line.

  • It's my last week of work, and I have mentally checked out! I am so nervous that in 8 days I will meet my princess for the first time.
  • 39 weeks....I cannot believe I'm still pregnant.  In fact, I've decided she's never coming out.  I've been having tons of contractions, some of them pretty strong and Friday night they were 7 minutes apart for 6 hours.  I REALLY thought that was it.  But they spaced out again.  I'm so sick of people calling, texting, messaging, etc.  They all have some sort of advice or criticism.  The newest one was, "Well if you went with an OB you'd be getting induced right now. Don't you regret trying to go the natural way now??"  &*%$ off!

  • Good luck to the moms that are getting sooo close!

Good luck Kristina!  I hope you get a view of the goods!

My babies are so much fun these days!  They are playing with and chasing each other all around!  I love that they have each other!

I'm going to an OB and I've already told them that "I WILL have a natural birth" well unless complications arise. But I want to exhaust every natural option before being induced or having a c section

I'm sorry you're having migraines! :( Mine have only come around when the barometric pressure changes drastically, It sucks not being able to take your regular meds!! I hope they get better for you now! I drink Mountain Dew and take tylenol when I get one. It doesn't totally get rid of it, but it helps.

  • I can't believe how many of you guys are having babies in the next month already!

This past weekend I went out for my sister's bachelorette party till 4 am! I feel like I deserve a medal or something! Anyway, My OB called last week to tell me I failed my glucose test :(   I got a 165 and the cut off is 140, but they told me I could eat breakfast so, I am hoping I failed bc of that. So, I get to do the 3hr test this week, fun, fun.. I feel like I eat really healthy already. I'm now going to the OB every 2 weeks and should be getting a 3d/4d done soon!!

  • I had some Braxton Hicks contractions at work Thursday night but haven't had any since. I am so bummed! Since my u/s showed she is 8lb 11oz, I'm hoping my doctor still isn't going to try to convince me to have a c-section. I am going to flat out tell him no. I will try to labor first! My next appt is on Wednesday.

My mom and sister just left and were such a huge help! We got the nursery set up (minus decorations) and they helped around the house and cooked some meals and froze them. I feel much better about being ready for the baby's arrival! :)

My last day of work is Friday but I may make it sooner, depending on what my doctor says. I'm just playing it by ear!

Oh, and my face is breaking out like a teenager's, too! Where did this come from? :P

  • Coming in to this late.  I can't believe I'm in 3rd tri already! LO#2 has been showing a more obvious sleep-wake pattern...she's definitely more active during the day. She's been causing me more discomfort; I've been having a hard time changing positions in bed and when I'm getting up from the floor. I think she's been pressing on my sciatic nerve since week 24. This problem didn't surface with my 1st pregnancy until I was much further along. I did my glucose test last week...so far I haven't heard from my OB, so I'm thinking no news is good news. I now go back to my OB every 2 weeks and at my next appointment, I'm getting a growth u/s. I can't wait to see my lil girl again!

my migraines have been lasting 3 -4 days each week. Tylenol doesn't do anything for it and nor has caffeine. My neurologist has me on 400mg of Magnesium Oxide 2xs daily but won't see me again until after I have LO. I'm hoping I can convince my chiropractor to write an RX for massages so that my insurance will help cover some of the cost.
