So this isn't really that big a deal. I'm just bummed about it & had to share with someone.
I don't think I mentioned to y'all that I went home this weekend. DH had to go to Lexington for a bowling tournament (yup, nerd!), and there wasn't going to be much for me to do there, so instead of staying here all by myself with nothing to do all weekend, I made a kind of last minute decision to go to Birmingham to visit my family, bake cupcakes with my niece, and pick up some hours at my old restaurant.
Clinton called me Saturday morning & told me that he had placed an order to have flowers delivered to me at my parents' house on Friday, but that he had just heard from the company that because of some weather issue in Nashville, they wouldn't be delivered until Monday (BOGUS!). So he was bummed & I felt bad for him b/c he never sends flowers. This would be the second time I got flowers from him EVER. He's just not a flowers guy. The one time he decides to send some flowers, it gets messed up by the dumb flower company. Poor DH! Anyway, he called the company & told them that since they weren't going to be delivered until THREE DAYS after they were supposed to get there & I was leaving Birmingham on Sunday, they would need to deliver them to our apartment instead. They said that's fine & it was all taken care of. I was very much looking forward to getting some flowers today.
My mom just called. They were delivered to her house about 10 minutes ago. They're pink roses and white daisies & apparently they're beautiful. I live four hours away, so the only way I'm getting to see my V-Day present from my husband is through pictures from my Mom's camera phone. Boo! ![]()

Re: VENT
I hate incompetent companies. Boo on them!
Can he call the company back? They made an error, obviously, so they need to deliver another bouquet to you. You need your flowers, darnit!
Wow, I would be p!st! That totally sucks!! Definitely have Clinton call the company and ask for a refund. I would have him mention the last conversation about changing delivery addresses, and also lay the shame-card how it's his first married Valentines and now it's been ruined, etc.
What a bummer sweetie! That sucks, but it's the thought that counts sometimes right?

This. They should be delivering the same bouquet to the proper address this time.

Ugggh that sucks!! Yeaaaaa.. tell Clinton to drop the Nestie-bomb.. you know, his wife talks to 89475923475 women and if she gives a bad review, we're allllllll gona know about it and NONE of of hubbys will use that company...!
In all seriousness, they owe you new flowers at your current address, and he shouldn't settle until thats complete. D!cks.. you know he paid a pretty vday effn penny for them too!
I'm with everyone else - I would be pushing for another bouquet delivered to your house, and maybe even a refund if I could squeeze it out of them.
I've found flower delivery services can be pretty unreliable on a few different occasions, unfortunately.
