Green / Eco-Friendly Lawn Service
Does anyone use a green/eco-friendly/organic lawn care service that you would recommend?
TIA!

I haven't used this company, nor have I investitaged their level of "green-ness", so I can't give a personal recommendation, but Hortilawn has handed out fliers in my neighborhood. They profess to be 'green" and "eco-friendly". I'm not sure what's in their "organic" weed control mixtures... They do claim to be phosphorus-free, and that's good.
They did do a free estimate for me a few years back, and they were very prompt about that, but... that's the extent of my interaction with them. Might be worth checking out at least:

http://www.organicbob.com/ We don't use him for lawn care because he doesn't service our area but we would if he did. We went to a couple of his classes and had him come out and give us an assessment a couple summers ago. We've been following his recommendations for what he does for lawns and have been really happy. The compost tea kicks butt.

I found his website in a google search yesterday before I posted on here - I was a little nervous only because the site looked good but hadn't been updated in a few years. Good to know that you were impressed by him.

Yeah, I know what you mean about outdated websites. My impression of him is that he's not all that technology minded so I wouldn't let that be an issue.
We took his class through Anoka County Community Ed and another one through the Natural Built Home Store. I'm pretty sure I remember seeing his class at Mother Earth Gardens or Mississippi Market last summer. Even if you end up with another company, his classes are really interesting and informative.
