A little brother (2 yrs. old) of one of my kids at school was just diagnosed with leukemia and will be in the hospital getting treatment for the next month. I want to put a little gift basket together for the family for while they are up there in the hospital...So far I have thought of crayons, coloring books, dunkin g.c, goldfish, magazines, crossword puzzle books, granola bars...what else can you guys think of that I could include that would be fun/useful for all of them. They are such a sweet family and my heart breaks that this poor sweet little boy has to go through this...
Re: Gift Basket ideas...
What about a story book(s)? The "Truckery Rhymes" book by Jon Scieszka is great. Shannon (and Kyle too, actually) loves all of the "Elephant and Piggie" books by Mo Willems.
I'll keep thinking and will hopefully be able to post more ideas tomorrow.
That's so sweet of you E!
Maybe an itunes card? So the family can download some fun songs/shows for him?
My sisters and I played hours of UNO while waiting for my mom to finish chemo treatments. What about those travel cards/games?
