  • 4th of July is probably near the top of my list. It gives an excuse for a huge BBQ and sometimes we get in a good fireworks show by the water.

Most of the other holidays generally drive me bonkers with all the hype attached.

  • I think I have to go with Christmas, although I don't like all the hype.  In Canada that was always the big holiday in terms of food and family and friends getting together, and that's what I love about it.  It's so pretty with the snow and decorations, and I love our traditions.

    Ditto this 100%.

  • I love Memorial Day because I always go to the Indy 500 with my family and have a blast. In terms of food though, Thanksgiving wins hands down.
  • Easter. My older sister and I usually get together with the kids since the husbands are usually working. We'll make dinner together and have an Easter egg hunt for the kids.

  • I'm going to say Thanksgiving.  It's time spent with friends and family, good food, and I love the Macy's parade.

  • I would have to say Thanksgiving. I love food, and there is always so much variety. Stick out tongue  Of course being with all the family has its perks too.

  • Christmas.  It's the one holiday that I ALWAYS spend with my parents and siblings. (Although next year I think we may have to give in and spend it with my ILs instead b/c my MIL made the fact that we weren't spending the holidays with them a drama-fest this year...even though we live 20 mins away from ILs and I only see my parents twice a year.  Sigh.)  Haha, maybe I will have to amend my answer...Christmas and Thanksgiving really are starting to become super stressful to split between families.
  • Christmas, I think. I just love the chill in the air, the non-stop baking, everyone seems a bit cheerier, and the idea of a week off doesn't hurt. I haven't visited my family for Christmas since 2006, though, and I really missed them this past one, so I'm hoping that we spend Christmas in MI this year. Nothing beats their chaotic tree and my mom's huge Christmas morning breakfast.
  • Christmas for sure. I love decorating, shopping with my sisters, making cookies, and spending time with my family.

A very close second would be 4th of July.

  • Christmas. It's one of the only holidays where I actually get to spend quality time with my entire huge dysfunctional family

  • Halloween! I love the fall season and I usually go all out for Halloween. I think I've dressed up every year since I was a kid!
  • I love Christmas. I love being with family and friends, eating lots of good food, and the overall spirit of giving.

  • I love Christmas because it's the one time during the year that my family gets together. I also love the food, decorating and shopping. Not to mention the vacation that we get from school and work.

    This.

But if we are talking real holidays, def Christmas. I am that dork who starts listening to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. I love all the traditions my family has, and also experiencing new ones from with my husbands family (especially the 7 Fish Dinnner!)

  • Christmas, always. Though I enjoyed it much more when we were in the Southern Hemisphere and we spent boxing day at the beach.
