My DD's 7th grade class is going to go swim with the Manatees! (I'm going also as a chaperon) I think this is the best fieldtrip since she has been in school. We have been everywhere from St. Augustine to Ybor and all in between!
Now I really want a cheaper digital underwater camera so I can get good pics. I really do not want to spend over $200. Any suggestions?
Re: Great Field Trip!
When we went on our cruises, we took an Olympus (older model) similar to this: http://www.amazon.com/Olympus-Stylus-Digital-Camera-Black/dp/B0031RGETU/ref=sr_1_7?s=photo&ie=UTF8&qid=1297787705&sr=1-7
It took great photos, on land and under the sea. Highly recommend!
Baby Macy is here!

I had a feeling you were going to say Crystal River! Have fun and it sounds like a great field trip for the kids!

I think it will be! I have went on every field trip DD has had and I'm most excited about this on! The only thing is I have to get DD and myself a one piece bathing suit!
Yikes. That sounds like the worst thing ever to me. Have you ever asked your DD how she feels about it? Maybe she's at an age now where she enjoys it, but those days will be few and far between as she gets older. Enjoy it while you can! And if you find a baby manatee you can smuggle home in your pocket, I want it.
Me going on her trips? Well I'm sure she would like to go alone but I still will always go with her. And I let her and her friends do what they want and I kinda hang back!
