figured I'd share in light of the challenge ![]()
as usual, I was disappointed in the quality/price of the women's clothes (though their tights/etc were pretty nice for the price but I skipped them since its almost spring (hopefully!)). I know I'm a snob, but I'm a good clearance/sale shopper and can get better quality items for the same price elsewhere! We did walk through the kids department though and the stuff there was more reasonable for the quality (and mostly carter, etc). I'm sure I'm going to get a Kohls charge soon for the extra coupons.
but man did we score in the tiny little maternity department!
I had a 20% off coupon, and full price was BOGO, and sweaters were on clearance 60% off. For $165, C got 2 pairs of work pants, 1 pair jeans, 2 sweaters, 2 tanks, 1 (2?) long sleeved tees, 2 cardigans, and two of the most hideous bras I've ever seen but they're stretchy and they fit (she has strap/shoulder issues). We "saved" over $40 more than we spent. I'm hoping this is good to make it through the rest of the cold weather (she still fits into a couple pairs of pants and a few of my sweaters) and we'll pick up some more tops as time goes by.

They're actually normal bras but I talked her into getting the stretchy ones since things keep growing....but man are they ugly. They're white with this weird lacy pattern in the fabric. Old lady. There weren't any other colors in this particular style though that fit best.
I had a great time picking through the racks, but I know she's still kind of traumatized, esp since she's only 11.5w! She's going to be in them full time by 15w I'm sure...
I love Kohls. I agree that some of their stuff is lower quality, but I can find some great things there and not have to spend much. I like the Apt. 9 brand for clothing. The Elle and Lauren Conrad brands also have some cute stuff. I also love that they sell the Carter's brand and have found the Jumping Beans brand to be pretty nice and fit the twins well.
I think you should look into the charge for the coupons. About once per month they do an additional 15%, 20% of 30% off for those who hold the card. I get the 30% in the mail a couple times a year and you can always find the code online. This sale actually starts tomorrow. I have a shopping cart saved to get the power hour pricing tomorrow morning

I agree, I like the Apt. 9 brand for clothes for myself. However, I rarely buy Brody clothes from Kohl's. I feel like their Jumping Bean brand is low-quality. They fit Brody great, but I feel like after a few washings they look really faded and worn.
That's interesting, because I really liked their stuff when P wore it - but that was over a year ago and he wasn't moving around as much and really getting dirty.

Ditto to all of this!
I think this blog was shared on here a long while back, but in case you haven't seen it, you should check it out. I think you'd get a big kick out of her humor!
