Name one thing....

....that has been invented or gained popularity in the last 5-10 years that you can't imagine your life without.

Any speculations on what the future might hold for advances in technology?

I say texting has exploded in popularity over the last 5-10 years, so that's fair!

Ohh that is a good one too...I could totally not live without my DVR either...Rick came to bed last night with 45 mins to go on the Bachelor and i had to DVR it out in the living room or I would have missed Crazy Michelle Money going home

  • My iPod or DVR. I could live without both, but they are the two tech-y things that would be hardest to give up.
    my read shelf:
Jo's book recommendations, favorite quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

  • DVR and digital photography (which has been around longer, but is vastly improved)

  • I'd say it's a tie between by TiVo and my iPhone.  I'd probably be a lot more productive without either of them.

  • Tivo has been the best thing invented since sliced bread. I could not imagine my life w/o it now.

Oh and accessing almost everything/anything from my phone! Yes, I waste endless hours on my phone!

  • DVR for sure.  I can't imagine either 1) planning my life around TV or 2) not being able to watch my favorites.

  • wireless internet and the rise of smart phones.

love all around. The smartphone has greatly decreased my train commuting annoyance in the last 6 weeks.

  • Totally cell phones. At work here we're planning for trips to competitions and communications with parents and it's unreal how many kids have cell phones now too! Like every kid over the age of 12 has one! Texting, Twitter, FB, what did we do without them?

Oh, and youtube. I use it for so much stuff! Learning music for choir, finding music for gymnastics, I even learned how to do Irish dancing for a routine I was making! Haha!

  • DVR. And not just to record shows. We pause rewind all.the.time.
  • I'm suprised by the DVR responses. I complain sometimes about not having cable but I really don't care that much. All I'm missing is TLC/HGTV. And The Middle (that's not usually available online).

  • haha we don't have cable, nor do we have cell phones anymore (which makes me sad) but that's what we had to do so I could SAH

    I desperately miss texting.
