real estate license

Thinking of looking into getting my real estate license but where do I start?

Re: real estate license

  • Call your local board of realtors, or, the real estate licensing board.

  • before you sign up - see if a company will sponser you - its cheaper!
  • Some firms will even reimburse you.  Our firm, for example, will give you back the cost of the class split into 3 payments over your first 3 closings with us.  But of course, that means you have to join our firm to get it.  So if you don't want to be affiliated with a firm right out of the gate, that may not be the way to go.

It is.  A few of our top producers failed it the first time.

  • I took mine through my aunt, she is a broker.

Ditto to Dee I also failed the 1st time and never went back.  Then the economy tanked so I did not bother doing it again. It is a very tricky exam, they have more then one correct answer for a lot of them. but you need to know the "better" answer type stuff.

If any of the books are the same as a couple years ago, you are welcome to mine !  Let me know the edition of the books that you need. FYI I did the test in RI.
