Re: Finding out the gender
We didn't find out with Lucy, I would find out with subsequent kids but C doesn't want to! He thinks it was fun (as did I )
Personally I was the one that didn't want to find out with lucy and he let me not find out, now the roles are reversed!

I don't think I would want to. I think it would be a great surprise. I'm not sure what DH would say, but I plan on pulling the "I'm pushing this kid out of a small hole" card and winning that one if he decides he wants to find out.

At first, I HAD to know as I am type A and I need to plan. However, as DH and I discussed names of each gender (we have decided on each), we figured we could wait. Also, to my parents-all three of us were not finding out either. I thought I would carry on the tradition of not finding out.
My sister though, HAD to find out.
I wonder if that's part of it for me; I don't think they even did u/s when I was born, at least not routinely. Even though my youngest SIL is 8 years younger, my MIL didn't find out for any of her 4 kids.
I am so type A it's not even funny, but I had no desire to find out the first time around. Well, until I was almost 42 weeks. Then I was ready to know! And I made it to the u/s the morning they decided they had to induce and saw that he was a boy by accident, so all that waiting for nothing!

Christina I am in the same boat, I want to find out for number 2 but C does not. He really liked the surprise at the end. But with Norah he wanted to find out but waited because I didn't want to find out...
funny how that works huh.... sigh
