We invited DH's coworker and his girlfriend over for dinner this weekend. We love them and they're both adventurous eaters. She's quite the foodie though and has lived in France for the past 18 months. I feel like I need to make something really amazing for dinner...
So, what do you make for dinner when you're trying to impress?
Re: Need menu help
When I'm nervous about impressing I try to make it special...like reinventing comfort food standards. Like a garganzola mac and cheese, or doing a slider bar with all sorts of toppings, or a classic standard...like an amazing eggplant parm. If they are foodies...play up the presentation, it'll be delish and pretty.

Only YOU get baked Alaska :P
So DH has requested lamb, and now I'm craving coconut cream pie. Getting closer I think...
