Hello everyone,
I am hoping that someone can help us decide on a new vacuum. Our old bagless upright has died. It had two motors and I guess one of the motors stopped working (and it is quite expensive to repair). I should mention that our old vacuum was between 3-4 years old....so not too bad. However, after the visit to the vacuum repair/sales shop, we realized there are much better vacuums on the market versus just the Target/department store models (such as Bissel, Dyson, Eureka, Hoover, etc.).
Has anyone heard of the Cirrus CR99 Vacuum? It is the brand's Pet Edition vacuum which is important since we have a dog and vacuum typically 3-4 times a week to stay on top of the dirt/hair/etc. Based on the recommendation of the sales guy (very low pressure to buy, but very informative), it seems like this is the best vacuum for us. It is pretty pricey in my opinion, but the sales guy suggests it will last 10+ years. I should also mention that all the parts are metal (not plastic), making it much more likely to last (but it is still lightweight and easy to carry).
It seems like the extra money would be worth it, but there are so few reviews out on the web about the product that it is really hard to grasp how satisfied individuals are with purchasing this vacuum/brand.
So my questions....has anyone heard of this vacuum? Does anyone have any experience with this vacuum/brand? Can anyone recommend a different vacuum specifically for homes with pets?
Any feedback/advice is greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much!
Re: Vacuum advice
Thanks for the feedback. I did see that the store carried miele branded vacuums and did overhear some good things about them as well. I know those are even more expensive, but like someone mentioned....a good vacuum is worth it (especially if it will last forever!).
I will have to see if anyone on the cleaning & organizing board has anything to add.
Thanks!
