Thank you

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who read my posts about Sofie and offered your support and kind words. I'm sure many of you who don't know me well think I'm crazy for feeling like this, or for posting about it so much. But for those of you who were so supportive through all of this, thank you. Knowing that little Sofie touched so many lives is comforting to her mother, and to her whole family. I, for one, will never be the same. I promise to try for happier topics from now on.

Thank you ladies.

  • Ditto the other lades, not crazy at all.  It was a very sad story, and although truly heartbreaking, sometimes we all need that reality check, that there are people out there worse off than us.

My thoughts/prayers go out to the family.

  • not crazy at all!  Thank you for sharing the story with us.

Thinking of everyone at this time

  • Thinking of Sophie and her family. And you and everyone who needs some extra good thoughts.

  • you are certainly not crazy!

I totally agree with your blog post. When I hear about tragedies like Sofie, it makes the lack of sleep very welcoming. Who cares if Liza isn't the best sleeper...she is here with me and healthy and I can totally deal with all the challenges because I am simply blessed to have her in my life. I could not even begin to comprehend what your friends are dealing with. It doesn't seem fair. But you know what, as tragic and horrible as this is for them, I can already see that Sofie had a purpose in this world and I find that incredibly amazing and I hope they are able to find some kind of comfort in that.

Isn't it terrible that we sometimes need tragedy to kick us in the a!s and bring us back to reality??

Anyway, your friends remain in my prayers, as do all their family and friends, as they grieve the loss of their beautiful, precious baby.

This exactly. I thought of Sofie when Gianna woke me up yet again last night and I just wanted to yell at her to shut the hell up b/c I am so tired and need to get up early for work. (I didn't actually yell at her but I thought it :-)

I thought of Sofie's parents and how they would probably kill to have her scream and wake them up. Then I felt like a selfish Ahole and got up and went to her.....*hanging head in shame*

Pam - this has been me for about a week now. I don't get as aggravated because I think of Sofie and Lori and it just stops me in my tracks. I think it's been really good for me and my emotional health too. It's so easy for me to lose sight of the good things with all the sh!t that's been tossed my way lately, and I've really snapped out of it. Not that life is all puppies & rainbows obviously, but to just try a lot harder to take it all in stride. My problems are nothing compared to some others that people are facing. I also notice Ben is actually behaving better now that I'm not so frustrated with him, so it's helping all of us. Thank you, Sofie, for making me want to be a better person!
