WTF? My bohemian musician bisexual friend is voting for McCain
And in other news, Hell is very, very cold today.
At least she was good natured about discussing it. Still, what is up with my friends?!

Re: WTF? My bohemian musician bisexual friend is voting for McCain
You've got some weird friends
On Sunday, a friend and I were discussing undecideds, as in who in the world could be undecided. ?A mutual friend IMd me that night telling me she couldn't figure out who to vote for. ?I guess that answered that question. ?I'm pretty sure the only information she got was from campaign ads from McCain judging by the questions she asked me (like, doesn't Biden say Obama isn't ready?). ?She knew nothing of Palin, only of Biden's gaffes. ?She didn't know Leiberman said the same damn thing about presidents being tested. ?
In trying to help her, I asked what issues were important to her, so I could point her in the right direction. ?She couldn't name anything. ?So, somehow, I must have convinced her to vote for Obama. ?It was sad. ?Sad that I could be friends with someone so uninformed and uncaring. ?And she's in the military!?
lol. One of Dh's uncles has always voted republican. He's a conservative businessman from small town PA who is very pro military (his son is in the military).
He shocked the family by saying he's going to vote for Obama. Why? Palin. He believes its shows that McCain is impulsive and can't be trusted to make important decisions.
I like the way he thinks!
I have a similar story. One of my super conservative friends (with a total "poor people are lazy" mentality) who used to get me practically kicked out of dinner parties with her anti welfare rantings, is voting for Obama.
Of course the father of her young child is a very active democrat from a well known political family so I suspect the shift occurred quite some time ago. I just can't see myself ever changing my political views that way.
You win!?
My manager's impression was that Obama is a Muslim who wants to socialize healthcare and he's running with a redneck lady. Oh, and McCain is old.
His pet (i.e. only nameable) issue? Separation of church and state.
Hand to god.
