Need recipe idea

For dinner tonight...I have ground turkey (use instead of grd beef) and was planning on spaghetti, but we've had so much pasta recently.  I'm thinking we need to do something else.

DH is picky, so I need something that can be made w/o veggies if need be.  We decided against burgers since we ate them this weekend.

I'm thinking meatball subs...any other ideas?

Re: Need recipe idea

  • I use ground turkey for taco soup, tacos, shepherd's pie...pretty much anything that calls for ground beef.

  • Meatloaf, or meatball soup (that's my fav)??? I've done both of those recipes with turkey and they're awesome.

  • Nachos, maybe?

    Missing our little turkey.

  • I love chili with ground turkey.

I don't eat beef so my dad has been making it this way for years.

  • without having the measurments here im gonna cheat....and this is DH's recipe too so forgive me if it isnt exact but you get the idea

on your way home, go check the freezer section either in the foreign section or the regular freezer for goya frozen rounds. (they're orange and come 12/pack?)

mix the turkey with a packet of taco sauce

layer the beef, and a half a slice of cheddar, fold the round in half and crimp the sides...

cook at...i think 350 untill golden brown.

you can also pan sear them

SO GOOD :) they're like jamaican meat pies but i dont have the spice recipe for the meat

or...do like a taco or a quesadilla with the turkey and spices :)

  • Erin - ooo, we do have a "taco kit" box already but...

Ana- that soup sounds yummy too!  Do you think I can use vegetable bullion instead of the beef broth?

Some nice options ladies!  Any others out there?

  • I also prefer ground turkey and use ground turkey in any recipes that call for ground beef.  How about chili?  I think the meatloaf sounds really good :o)  Best of luck as you find options for your dinner Hannah!
