So I got an email back from the new CEO saying that she was going to be looking at salaries tomorrow because there seems to be big discrepancies in what people make across the board, even in similar positions.
I feel like, oh well, tough sh*t if someone doesn't make what I make. My pay was negotiated based on my individual skills and experience added to a new role and responsibilities. What someone else makes shouldn't have any say on what I make, and vice versa. Unless she's planning on giving me a raise to match what the other reps make (and I would die if this happens - that's a large jump), then I feel like I'm going to get burned in this situation.
What do you guys think?

I'd say give her some time to get things in order before assuming the worst. She was pretty agreeable with letting you work from home, so I bet she's going to do her best to work your salary out to make both sides happy. I know YOU didn't do anything wrong, but I'm sure you'll get major brownie points for patiently waiting a little while.
Amelia is going to be a big sister!
This is true. Try to remember and understand where she's coming from. Unexpectedly losing her father and taking over this responsibility I'm sure is overwhelming. I know it sucks as far as having to wait regarding your pay, but hopefully your patience will pay off in the end?
I agree w/ Jennifer and Heather. Give her the benefit of the doubt and try to be patient.
I will say this; this is NOT uncommon by any stretch of the imagination, unfortunately. My old company, a fortune 15, regraded jobs often and there was a range for positions (let's say 65K-85K for a range). 85K was those who are senior/experiences where as 65K was for people starting out in that particular position. She may just want to have an even playing field. It may not be bad for you.
This is what I'm familiar with. Pay should be different based on skills and experience. But I'm going to wait to see what she has to say before I big out the big guns

I agree, too. I hope when she gets things worked out, it will be in your favor.
