Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Did you do anything fun with your H?  Exchange presents?

H and I didn't do anything "for" Valentine's Day but Friday we went to a hockey game and Saturday we went to a play so we had two dates!  Nothing planned for tonight, though.

He got me earrings and an orchid plant.  I got him a Husker book and chocolates.

Re: Valentine's Day

  • I bought MH some chocolates and he bought me a Vera all-in-one wristlet.  We bought Kinsley a recordable book where we recorded our voices telling the story.  I cooked dinner yesterday and we just hung out as a family.  Perfect day.  We both worked today and I just picked up takeout on the way home and tonight was business as usual... my 6 month old doesn't care about holidays and still wants to eat, bathe, play and go to bed on time. :)

  • My husband got me a 60 minute prenatal massage that I can't wait to use next week. I had bought him some reese's peanut butter hearts (he LOVES peanut butter) and baked him some cookies. We had a nice dinner of steaks on the grill and just relaxed at home.

I generally am not a fan of valentine's day - I don't need Hallmark to tell me when to show someone that I love them - but I was very pleasantly surprised to get the massage gift certificate.

  • We had a low key Valentine's Day, but it is what we normaly do. A fancy home cooked dinner including fired clalmari, filet mignon, roasted asparagus, home made mac and cheese, and crabcakes. All served on our china with silver and the crystal glasses. Perfect! Happy to hear you gals had a great V-day as well!
  • We normally don't do much for Valentine's Day - not a big holiday for us, but this year we definitely didn't do anything because I was sick in bed with strep throat and double ear infections. Not fun! I had bought steaks to grill, but didn't even make it up long enough to cook them. Oh well! :)
