This morning DD asked to wear "hockey stick shoes." That would be ice skates for those of us who don't speak the toddler dialect. She doesn't even own a pair of ice skates.
Later in the morning I told DD we were going to get groceries. As I'm at the traffic light ready to turn into the Walmart parking lot, DD says "Walmart! You find it! You find it!" Um, yeah, I managed to find Walmart...where we go at least once a week.
And it somewhat exciting food news, DD agreed to eat tube yogurt today (mixed berry flavor). She usually refuses to eat any flavor other than vanilla, but I bought a box of Gogurt today and called it "squeezy yogurt" and that got her interested. She wouldn't eat it out of the tube but she did squeeze it into a bowl and eat it with a spoon. Yay!
Re: Toddler minds are fascinating
Yay! Congrats to Helen and Mom on a success!
Does Helen still receive CDS services? Did you have a casemanager?
Yes, but only for the next 2-1/2 months. She won't qualify after she turns 3.
It's all in the marketing, eh?
When I was a toddler I refused to eat prunes. My parents started calling them "Niagara Falls Raisins" (my grandparents lived in Niagara Falls) and I'd eat those.
