Parents, come in (nanny poll/questionnaire)!
Here's a little poll for parents. If you don't have a nanny, think hypothetically.
Do you have a nanny?
Where did you find him/her?
What let you know that they were the right fit for your family?
What key words/phrases did you look for (if they applied)?
What key words/phrases did you avoid?
Re: Parents, come in (nanny poll/questionnaire)!
I had a nanny for a summer.
I found her through craigslist (believe it or not)
I had her come over and we sat down and talked. She was a Sr. In HS and I asked about her grades and other activities.
I asked a lot about how she felt about sticking to my rules of discipline. I know that some get uncomfortable strictly disciplining kids. Asked a lot about the importance of crafts and entertaining my little one with more than TV.
I only needed this for a summer and she was younger..but she still watches our kids when she comes home from college and she is HUGE part of our family now.
I was a nanny for 5 years 4 in college and first year out. It is such an amazing thing to be so involved in someones else lives and NOT be family.I am still very close to the families I watched. Kids are DRIVING now! Phew makes me feel old!! LOl
