Good Morning!

Phew.  I had to get a bunch of results off to one of our engineers before 9am, so I've been a whirlwind of busy until now.

Last night was pretty good.  Derek and I worked out, and he still hates deadlifts.  I still love them.  I was pretty proud of what I managed to lift yesterday too.

In the middle of our workout one of my good friends dropped by.  She'd moved off to Ottawa 8 months ago after her boyfriend (whom she owned a house with, you may recall that story) broke up with her.  Well, even before she moved away they started talking and sort of started seeing each other again.  Apparently he's made a complete 180 and realizes what an inconsiderate ass he was before, and now they're moved back in with each other.  I don't mind, because now I have a friend in the area again!  Ha.  We're guessing that they'll be engaged before the end of the year.

Nothing big on tonight.  I'm finally getting my eyebrows waxed.  They're looking verrrrry bush-man crazy.  I'm trying a new place too, so we'll see how that goes.

What's everyone got on the go today?

Re: Good Morning!

  • Good morning. Yesterday, H and I took the first step in finally seeing someone about our indecision about kids. When I made the call, I instantly felt nervous and scared. It'll be great to resolve this, but there's a lot of conflicting emotions there. I know some people think we're overthinking this, but this isn't an easy choice for us. Hopefully we can find someone who will listen and help us work through this.

The evening was fine, though--nice dinner, good conversation, then some reading. Tonight I'm chatting with my little brother by Skype, then heading to the gym to do another run. I've fallen in love with running all over again and am thinking of a fall half-marathon. We'll see!

  • Not much going on here besides work.  We went to bed at 8:30 last night - DH did a double spin class, and I've got a horrendous cough that doesn't bode well for the next week or so.  It feels like I have cement in my lungs.

    Have a great day, everyone!

  • I am roasting today! I hate walking with people with long legs, because I have really short ones. We're opening windows in our office, because apparently I'm not the only one on fire today. I'm so excited to see the 50* marker in the forecast for this week, even if it is a rainy day. Spring is getting closer!

Tonight I'll be attempting to stay awake for Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. I'm doubting I'll make it all the way to 11, but hopefully an after-work nap will help. I just feel so wiped out and I can't seem to catch up. DH so graciously slept on the couch last night so I could sleep more soundly. It almost worked, until the dogs randomly decided they wanted to sing in the middle of the night. The one downside to owning Alaskan Malamutes.

  • Morning ladies.

Today I am feeling a little better about work, but still a lot to do.

My boys are 7 months old today an as I am typing this my DH is taking his Nursing Boards. I am dying just thinking about it.  UGH.  I hope he passes, but I am ok if he doesn't.  I keep reminding myself a lot of people fail the first time.

Otherwise, Zumba and weigh in today.

    Have a great day ladies.

  • I had a good night. I visited a friend of mine and his twin babies. They were born just before the end of the year, so they're not quite 2 months yet. So cute! After I got home, Kyle and I took it easy and he told me all about his trip. It was nice to spend a quiet evening home with him.

Tonight I have no major plans and am really looking forward to that.

  • Hi ladies!  It's nighttime here, and I'm just finishing editing a paper that I'm doing as some freelance work and watching Glee.  No big plans for tomorrow, it's a Cambodian holiday - there are 28 public holidays a year - but E still has to work so I may go to the pool and celebrate my successful job offer-y week!

    Now jumping domestically.

Well that was a crazy couple of years.

  • I had a great night, DH and I walked 4 miles, it's been beautiful out and we like to walk and explore new neighborhoods in the city.

Today I got up early to try and be more on local time so I won't be so jet lagged when I get to Spain.  I've got a bit more packing to do and then some house cleaning so my house is nice when we come home. Then it's clock watching until we get to leave.

  • Leo- congrats!

    Kat- vibes to your H...

I kinda hate that it's only Thursday, but its a nice day so I'll take it.  Might go for a run outside tonight.

  • Susi, I think it's awesome that you guys are taking the next step and trying to get help making the decision.

Leo, congrats on the new job :)

Kat, keeping fingers crossed for your H.

Last night was a total bust at euchre.  The team we played against was SOOOOO RUDE.  They kept saying things like they couldn't believe how late it was when we had only been playing for an hour (we play that you have to win 3 games, so it can take about 2 to 2 1/2 hours to play all the games).  Then they kept arguing with B about the score, and kept trying to rush us.  Then one of the women took out a kid's book and started lesson planning in the middle of the game.  Oh, and the kicker, was when they said that they had talked to the team we had played last week and had been forwarned that we are "difficult".  It was so strange.  I mean, it's a bar league, and B and I were there to have fun, not be competitive.  We actually ended up forfeiting because these women were just so obnoxious and we really didn't care to spend more time with them.

Today should be a relaxed day at work, but I have a bunch of stuff to get done and off my plate.  Tonight, I'm running over to my grandpa's to drop the cats off for vacation.  We're off to Vegas for the long weekend.  Can't wait.

  • I ended up working late last night so we didn't make in to Lowe's like we have originally planned. We grabbed some Chipolte for dinner and just relaxed on the couch.

No big plans for tonight, just my normal workout, dinner, and a little TV.

  • Nothing much going on over here.  The boss is out for the rest of the week and I'm still procrastinating on the crap work that I need to do.

  • Just another day at work for me. I think I'm going to get a haircut after work. My hair is growing faster than I'm used to and I love having short hair, so it's definitely time for a cut. I may stop by my parents house for a bit too but not sure since I have piles of laundry to fold and put away. Hope you all have a good day ladies.

  • Today was a usual work day.  Now I have a small break before I have to drive out to my RCIA class.  Tonight is the discussion on morality and ethics.  I've been told it usually runs late and I'm not looking forward to that.  I'm super hungry and I think I'm going to eat anything in sight right now.
