Speaking of food...Flo's Hot Dogs - anyone been??
They were the runner up in my Rachel Ray magazine this month for best hot dog in the entire country!! I'm always so proud when Maine is featured in national media, even if it's just for hot dogs
). Their relish looked amazing - it was brown with some molasses or something in it (typically I don't like relish but I think I'd love this). I think we're going to have to stop there this summer on our way to my parents' cottage...yummm.

Re: Speaking of food...Flo's Hot Dogs - anyone been??
I find this shocking. I went once when my family spent summers in York. Everyone RAVED about this place. I thought it was vile. As in, "fly paper hanging from the ceiling with dead flies on it" vile.
They MUST have made some improvements. I am always excited when national media pick Maine places to feature too. I hope Flo's lives up to the hype!
Keep me posted when you go. I am anxious to hear about it!
I like them, DH is "meh" on them. It's a very unique taste. If you get them the recommended way, they come with relish, mayo, and celery salt.
They had a branch in Sanford a while back but that closed. I went to the one in Wells 3 or 4 years ago and it was a dive (with a long line of customers). The waiting area was I guess some kind of enclosed porch or something weird like that because anyone over about 6' tall couldn't stand fully upright.
