I'm dying over here! I'm so bored. Please help me kill the next 2 hours at work.
Re: Where'd everyone go?
Here you go, this is what kept me entertained when I went home for lunch (i.e. this is what I found):
That is a combination of protein powder, quinoa, pasta and rice with a side of ziploc baggies. Brucie escaped his crate and got into the pantry, and decided to rid me of all my carbs!
omg!!! maybe he's trying to tell you to go atkins?
Once again I'm so thankful that we decided to crate our dog. The worst the cat ever does is bat the milk carton tops around.
ETA: He looks so innocent sitting on the other side of the gate, too!
Oh my god Rach! That is nuts!
I am sure he had your best interest at heart.
WE DO CRATE OUR DOG!!!!!!!!!!! This is the result of an escape!!
@ Allie -- yes we have been on the South Beach Diet since January and I'm certain he was just trying to help us out, but there could have been a cleaner way, don't you think??
We're still not really sure. He actually unlatches the door, but I don't know how. We put the babygate up so once he escapes he can't get out of the kitchen and destroy the whole house, but I guess he can open the pantry too!
Yikes Rach! I thought our incidents were bad. I'd be SOO pissed if I came home to that!
Have you tried the bungee cord trick yet? Worked when Sam escaped our crate.

Sorry it's such a mess Rachel
That's a bummer to clean up!!!
Oh no!!! When I got home from work one day last week, my bouncy, happy little black dog met me at the back door...only problem was, when we left to go to work, his majesty was in his CRATE! We still haven't figured out how Houdini did it, but the worst of his damage was chewing up two bottles of Nasal spray that were on the lamp table in the family room (which is actually where we hang out, so he probably just got up on the sofa and watched tv until we came home!).
He didn't eat a lot of it, because I'm guessing that it was so nasty tasting, it taught him a nice little lesson! Apparently Bruce has more discerning tastes :-))
I haven't because I was putting it off and then he had been good, so I thought he was over it! Clearly I have learned my lesson. I think we're going to get a lock, though, as I fear he may chew through bungee cords. Little monster.
Is his mouth small enough to get between the crate holes? Maybe you need to invest in one of these crates

We actually have one of those, but he gets really spazzy and hates the confined-ness of it. I know some dogs like the den-like way those crates are, but Bruce goes NUTS. He does better w/ the wire crate since he can see the tv and let the sun shine on him. Just need to get that bad boy LOCKED the F DOWN!!
BTW...this is for you...
