Animal Rescue -Vent
There has been a kitten living in the parking lot of Publix near my house for a few weeks. I've been feeding her almost daily in hopes of getting her to trust me enough so I can catch her and take her home. I was feeding her yesterday afternoon when a women and her son (who looked about 19 or 20) walked by. She told her son to help me catch it so they could take it home! I ignored her and just kept trying to lure kitty to me with tuna. Her dumb a** son jumped and yelled at the cat and chased it across the parking lot towards Atl. Hwy ( a 4 lane road). I could have killed him, especially since I was inches from grabbing her. I never saw kitty run into the road, but now I can't find her. Why do people have to be so stupid? I would love to kick the crap out of that kid!

What part of AL are you in? I might could arrange for you to borrow a cat trap if you're interested.
That was so stupid. Couldn't they see that YOU were trying to catch the kitty? Why do so many people feel the need to butt into everyone's business? Poor kitty may never come back...I hope she does.
Thanks for the offer. I'm in Montgomery. My dad has a humane trap, since he used to be a game warden. I'm going to put more food out tonight to try and lure her back out. I talked with the Publix manager in the parking lot this morning, and they think someone is dumping kittens there. This one apparently has a sibling, and they have seen other litters.
I don't even know if I am going to be able to keep her (we have 2 already,and DH is not crazy about a third), but my vet's office hates that the humane society puts animals to sleep, so they take in stray animals, give them their shots, and keep them until they find a home.
