I salute you!!!
I wish tomorrow morning my alarm would go off at 6:00 and I could get ready for work while H stays home with the babies. Just for a day - I promise! They are really good babies but just want to be held for so long after a feeding. It is difficult with two. I am taking a huge plunge and going to International Plaza Saturday with them and MIL and SIL. I just need to get out of the house. I know it is going to be difficult to be out with them, but MIL and SIL are excited and will be a big help. H and I also decided to attend a baby shower Sunday at Maggiano's with the babies. He isn't comfortable leaving them with anyone yet and we felt really guilty missing it. I understand his concern, but if the mailman offered to babysit while I took a nap, I would probably take him up on it at this point!!
Re: SAHMs
Oh blossom, the first 6 weeks are tough! I remember feeling the exact same way as you and then felt guilty that I had those thoughts. But I promise, it does get easier and your sleep will start to regulate. I don't remember exactly when it happened with Macy but one day everything just fell into place.
The beginning is so tough because schedules really have been established and you really don't know all your babies habits, soothers, etc. But hang in there girl! One day this blur of new motherhood will be a distant memory!

Haha! I need a day to myself every once in a while!
Once they get older and you get into a good schedule/routine (and they STTN), it really isnt that bad!
Oh trust me it's not easy! There are many many days I wish I had a full time job and they were in daycare. Especially lately! People have always said that 3's are worse than the 2's and I have to say its so freaking true!!
It will get easier once they are on a better schedule. Have you tried feeding them at the same time? That might help with the holding thing. I would sit on the couch with two boppies on either side of me with a baby in each one and just hold both of their bottles.
And honestly getting out with them now is a heck of a lot easier than it will be when they are my boys age. Now they just sleep in the carseats for the most part and you might have to feed them once but you can try and plan your outings around their feedings schedule. Like feed them right before you leave then you have a good 3 hours of sleep of contentment at least.
Wait until they both hate the stroller and scream as soon as you enter any kind of store or mall. That's super fun:)
LOL, thanks for letting us know what we have to look forward to
The only time Macy turns into a MONSTER is if she is in her car seat. She screams and squeals at the top of her lungs and it's making me crazy. This week I bought her a front facing car seat in hopes she would relax in the car. Didn't work. Ha.
But the funny thing is her old car seat is currently in the guest room waiting to be put up in the attic and I can't keep her out of it. She will play in that thing for hours without a peep. WTH?

Haha...I do what I can:)
Thanks for the advice, I am glad to hear it gets easier. And then harder - thanks Delta!
Once I get more sleep I am sure it will get better. Fingers crossed!
If I lived closer I would totally come over to your house during the day and watch the babies while you took a 4 hour nap. I did this for a few times for my BFF in December/January when she was on maternity leave.
Sleep is underrated!
