wow, this is sad...(in a sarcastic way)
substitute teachers in duval county make about $8.50/hr. i could make more a starbucks. granted subs aren't the only person teaching your child, and some are basically just a blob who presses play on a vcr, but i was hoping i could sub. teach next year to get my feet wet with teaching... not making that i can't!
st. john's co. aren't much better, about $10/hr. long term subs make much more, but you have to have a teaching degree or certificate.
